Norm walked down the hall and to the room that the meeting was held in. Norm missed his corn, and he desperately wanted to tell everyone he was sick so he could go home and be with his corn, alas, he couldn't.

He was so caught up in his thoughts that he had completely forgot what he was doing for at the moment. He then realized that he was standing outside the door. He wrapped his muscular fingers around the loose doorknob and swung open the door. Everyone's head shot up and they immediately shuffled papers and sat up straight.

Norm walked front and center and stood with his head up.

He tried to get through the meeting without thinking of his precious corn, but he couldn't.

All he could do was stare at the clock and watch as the seconds turned to minutes, and the minuets turned to hours.

Once the meeting was over, Norm walked up to his man that does the graphs. He forgot what they're called... slaves..? Maybe... He walked up to the slave and grabbed his shoulder lightly tugged him back.

God, why did his boss think that
Lay Redbetter would be a good business partner? All Lay does is eat popcorn. It's sick. It's murder.

Norm walked up to Lay, seeing him pull popcorn out of the back of his phone case.

"Want some?" Lay's eyes had a glint of evil, and his lips curled up in and uneasy smirk.

"N-no-no... no I'm good" The very sight of the burned popcorn sent a burning sensation into Norm's gut. The smell was sickening, and the discoloration. Don't even get me started. That corn wasn't ready... it was only a baby ear, it wasn't ready to be popped, no corn is, really.

"A'right... I get it..."

Lay handed Norm the vanilla folder, it seemed heavier than it should've.

Something is wrong.

Norm shook it off and went back to his office. The sight of Lay's crooked smile, and baby popcorn being crushed in his teeth stayed in Norm's mind all day.

He set the folder down in his office and walked to the bathroom to check his phone and play Angsty Birds.

Right as Norm sat down on the toilet and opened his phone, the bathroom door swung open. The smell of over cooked popcorn flooded the bathroom. The smell was overwhelming, it was everywhere, there was no way out. He was trapped.

Trapped.
