As the sun rose in the morning, the tree's red and orange, and the wind rushing through the open window Thomas rose out of his bed, with a single yawn he stood tall and walked to the window as he looked out he felt the rush of the wind hit his face as well as the crisp cold air of spring. He gazed at the street as he watched a single child ride his bicycle down the street and he looked farther in the distance he saw an elderly man walking his old faded dog down the sidewalk. He looked farther and saw the bright red sky and pounds of the mortars of the nearby war. Thomas turned around and started towards the bathroom to wash up for the day and the door closed. After he left the bathroom he headed towards the kitchen where his mother was making his breakfast, he proceeded to grab his breakfast from his mother and sat at the kitchen table to eat. The breakfast was his usual morning meal of eggs, toast, and bacon. He finished eating his morning meal and walked to the mudroom and grabbed his book-bag and started towards the door.

As he proceeded to school he gazed at the sky once again, he watched a helicopter fly overhead transporting the soldiers to war. He noticed that the war was getting worse and worse. Once he arrived at school he was greeted by his teacher and he sat down at his desk, pulled out his schoolwork and started working. He finished his school work and was ready to eat lunch when suddenly an alarm went off, this alarm was nothing like one of a tornado or a fire. His teacher was startled by this unusual ringing and jumped out of her seat with confusion. She brought the kids to the hallway and to the exits.
