N.U.K.E the beginning

Ch. 2

Once they left the school, they were met by two men in black suits. They brought them to the buses, and they left for the unknown. One of the men sat across the isle from the Thomas, and he asked the man what was happening and he simply said "war". Thomas was scared for his life and didn't want to leave his family behind, but it seemed as if he had no choice. A few minutes later they arrived at a large building and they were ordered to step off and go inside quickly. Once they were inside they stepped in a large elevator and they went down. They arrived at the bottom and stepped off into a large cafeteria. The men made the kids sit down and eat while they would tell them what was happening. The men said that they had conformation that a nuclear warhead was launched earlier that day, and that they had to bring all of the children underground to stay safe from the bombs. From this day on the children would never see their parents again.

                               The men told the boys that they would be paired with one girl and that's who they would be with for the rest of their lives, they would only rely on each other. Thomas was paired with a blond shy girl, who he had never seen before. he would share a room with her and they would sit down together every night and study for the next day of school. The next day the Boy went exploring the compound and found that there were three levels, and the cafeteria and rooms were on the middle section, the school and the jobs were on the top level, and the generator and all the equipment for the power were on the bottom level. Thomas made his way to school and started his lessons.
