Chapter 3

*Rose's point of view*
I just woke up from a long a** nap, it was Saturday so my mom had the day off.
Mom: Good morning darling. she smiled. I turned over to look at her.
Me: What time is it?
She looked down at her phone.
Mom: It's 10:47, I took your phone last night.
Me: I seen that, but why?
Mom: Because, I don't think you should have it past 7:00 anymore.
Me: What the f*ck mom I'm 16.
Mom: Language!
Me: Sorry, but that isn't fair.
She left my room and came back with my phone.
Mom: here.
She handed me my phone.
Mom: Come down when you're dressed, we're going to the beach with your little sister.
Me: Wait Mom. I think I found a job. She smiled.
Mom: that's good, I'm proud of you.
Me: Thanks, but... I haven't got the job yeeeet.. I laughed.
Mom: Where is the place?
Me: I'm not sure but it's some weird food place..
Mom: Ok. Get ready! she smiled.

I put on a black t-shirt and a pair of denim shorts. I then put my hair in a bun and put a red bandana around my head.
"Perfect" I said to myself.
Before I went downstairs I grabbed my phone and decided to text whatever that guy's name was... should've asked for his name.. I put in his number and said...
***Outgoing Message***
Me: Hey, it's Rose. The girl you met last night.
I put my phone away and waited for a response. I then went downstairs.

Kira: Mommy said you got a job
Me: I might've. Isn't that exciting? She frowned.
Kira: that means you won't spent time with me anymore
Me: Yes I will. If I can, I'll take every Saturday and Sunday off.
Kira: Ok.
I don't think she was convinced. Kira's 6 and she had quite the attitude but she was so cute, you just couldn't stay mad at her.
Mom: Well let's go kids, I have breakfast for you in the car Rose.
Me: Alrighy then.
Kira: Pick me up!!!
Me: You're big enough to walk.
She let out a grunt and crossed her arms. I ignored her.
Mom: Don't act like that Kira, we're doing this for you.
Me: For her? What about my enjoyment??
Mom: We're going for both of you.
Me: Where's dad?
Mom: He has to work today.
Me: Oh
Mom: Let's go now.
Kira grabbed my hand and we got into the car.
Kira: I sit with sissy.
Me: I'm sitting in the front, sorry kiddo.
Kira: Okay...
I decided to sit in the back with her, she looked so sad. skdjdkf
I sat down.
Kira: Yay! I looked at her and smiled.

My phone vibrated.
***Incoming text***
ThE bOy (Will): Yes. I remember.
ThE bOy (Will): When would you like to start?
Me: You're just gonna give me the job? I haven't even shown you what I can do.
ThE bOy (Will): I guess you're special haha.
Me: I guess I'll start Monday then?
ThE bOy (Will): Fine with me, the address is {#########}
Me: Thank you, name?
ThE bOy (Will): Will.
Me: Okay nice, see you Monday then?
Will: Yep, do you need a ride?
Me: I can drive but thanks for the offer.
Will: Ok then, I'll talk to you later.

I put away my phone. My mom was looking at me.
Mom: Who are you texting?
Me: The boy who offered me the job.
Mom: Well.
Me: Well?
Mom: Did you get the job?
Me: Of course I got the job.
Mom: That's good, when do you start?

I told her the details.

Mom: I'm happy for you Rose.
Kira: I am too, she deserves it. Right mama?
Mom: More like she needs it. Working isn't always fun.
Me: Well at least I get to socialize with people.

We arrived at the beach, there was so many people I guess there was something going on.. a part maybe? I love party's.. But my mom.. not so much 🤫
I took Kira by the hand and we went down by the water, ugh it's was such a beautiful day.

"Wait... is that... Will?" I said to myself quietly.

He was with two people. A boy with blonde curly hair, and a girl with black wavy hair. She was pretty. Really pretty.

Me: Kira, wanna get a drink?

I was looking for a way to make Will see me without looking desperate for his attention.

Kira: Sure.

Kira followed me, we went up the rocky path that led to the small restaurant the beach had, Will was sitting outside on the porch they had. The restaurant was fancy, they even had umbrellas on the outside tables. I'm guessing they were just for looks.

We finally made it up, jeez that's a long walk. I thought to myself.
Me: You lead the way, cutie. She smiled at me.
Kira: Ok. Follow the leader. I giggled.

Will: Heeeeyy, we meet once again.
Me: Hey, what a coincidence. I smiled.
Will: I was just telling them about you.
The girl (Layla): So I hear you're looking for a summer job.
Me: Yeah, I just moved here so I had to give up my old one.
The girl (Layla): Aww that's too bad, Well I'm Layla.
Da random boy (Jeremy): I'm Jeremy, nice to meet you. we shook hands.
Me: It was nice to meet you too. They all smiled. I went inside the restaurant. Will followed. Kira and I sat down by the window, there was room for three people. Kira sat on my right and Will sat on my left.

Will: So, what're you doing here?
Me: Just exploring, you know.
Will: Ah nice, do you like it so far?
Me: I've only been here for a week silly.
Will: In a week you can see a lot... he smiled.

The waiter came.
Waiter: Hi. What can I get you all?
Will: I would like a lemonade.
"Kira what do you want" I said quietly.
She looked at the waiter.
Kira: I want Vodka.
Waiter: Vodka? Can I see your ID, young lady.
Kira: Ok, I'll get some grape juice.
Waiter: And for you, ma'am?
Me: I'll have lemonade as well.
Waiter: Alrighy. Your drinks will be out in a sec.
Will: Your sister is adorable.
Me: How'd you know she was my sister? I smiled.
Will: You guys kinda look alike.
Me: Oh.. I get that a lot. He smirked.

Waiter: Here are your drinks, enjoy!

I took a sip, dang this is sooooo good I thought to myself.

Me: This is probably the best lemonade I've ever had.
Will: It's good I know, they add a few drops of something... I can't say what
Me: Whatever it is... it's good
Kira: Who's he sissy? she pointed at Will.
Me: He helped me find a job. I smiled.
Kira: Oh. He's the reason I'm not gonna get to spend time with you.
Me: Hey... you didn't have a problem last time. she sighed and drank her juice.

I finished my lemonade, dang it was good.
Will: Well I should go. I need to let my friends know where I went.
Me: Will you text me tonight?
Will: Maybe.. he smiled.
