It has been around 10 years since Kya, mother of Sokka and Katara died. Katara has been struggling with the loss of her mother everyday, she misses the warm hugs, the motherly advices, and especially the safe feeling her mother always gave her. Katara felt alone, and thought no one could ever understand what she has been trough...until she met Prince Zuko. A boy who's mother dissapeard one night leaving him alone with his father and sister a boy with a psycho sister who wants to kill everyone who doesn't obey her a boy with a father who doesn't love him and challenged him to an Agni Kai an 13 year old boy and got banished from his home town as a punishment for not 'respecting' his father

Third Person P.O.V
It was just a normal day for team avatar Zuko teaching Aang fire bending, Sokka being an idiot, Toph and Katara arguing.
"Can you for once stop being selfish and help me around" The young waterbender said as she massaged her temples
" Can you once stop being so demanding and annoying AND I'VE SACIRFISED EVERYTHING FOR AANG TO TEACH HIM EARTBENDING SO DON'T YOU DARE CALL ME SELFISH MOM" Toph shouted as she made and an earth tent and locked herself inside
"UGH I'M DONE WITH THIS!" yelled Katara and walked away. Zuko saw her walking away angry and he was about to go after her and comfort her but he got stopped by a firm grip on his shoulder. Zuko turned around and he saw that Aang was the one who stopped him
"I think it's better to leave her alone or else" Aang threatened and glared at Zuko. Zuko's eyes widened and he looked at the bald boy in shock. Getting no reply back the young avatar huffed and walked away.
"What's his problem" Zuko tought as he glared at the disappearing figure

It was already midnight and everyone was already asleep except for Zuko and Katara. Zuko sighed after the encounter with Aang he could only think about that what did he mean with or else was he going to do something to him or was he going to kick him out of the team. Zuko let out an frustrated growl and stood up he decided to go for a walk to clear his mind.
After an hour of walking well actually it was more like 10 minutes of walking Zuko saw a hill with someone sitting there. Because of the dark Zuko couldn't make out who was sitting there so he decided to climb the hill
"Katara what are you doing here, It's already midnight you should be sleeping" Zuko scolded
Katara let out a shaky breath and burried her face in her knees. Zuko gasped when he heared her sob.
"Y-you okay Katara" Zuko asked as he took a seat next to her
"please Zuko..just leave, I don't want you to see me like this!" Katara said while trying to hide her tears
"No, I'm not going anywhere. Please just..talk to me Katara" Zuko tried to come a little closer and turned her face to his "please don't cry, tell me what's going on" Zuko said in a soft tone looking deep in her sea blue eyes.
"you wouldn't understand" Katara turned her face to the other direction and stood up. She was about to leave until Zuko grabbed her arm
"what are you doing !? don't touch me, didn't I tell you to leave me alone!" yelled Katara as she tried to get out of his grip
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you, I just wanted to help you !" said Zuko
"is this about Toph?!" he asked "No!" responded Katara "are you on your period ?" Katara looked at him in disbelief but it quickly turned into a deadly glare damn if looks could kill Zuko would be dead now
" you don't even take me serious, I'm done with this conversation Zuko!" She was about to walk away again but she got stopped by Zuko again "Please Katara tell me what's wrong" Zuko sad as he gave her the I-don't-take-no-for-an-answer look
Katara let out a frustated sigh and sat back down "Okay you really wanna know what's going on?! I MISS MY MOTHER. THAT'S WHAT'S GOING ON YOU HAPPY NOW"she began to sob again
"It's okay" He cooed in a soft tone as he wrapped his arms around her waist letting her head rest on his chest "I know exactly how you feel" Zuko mumbled but Katara could hear him perfectly
"Y-you do" she said as she looked at him trough her blurry eyes
"When I was 13 my mother left us I don't know why but I remember her walking into my room and she hugged me really tight and told me "to always remember who I am" and the next day she was gone. Ever since that day live has been a bitch to me. Getting humiliated infront of the whole firenation and getting disband by my own father"
Katara looked at him with wide eyes
She didn't no what to do she was getting all angry at the boy but didn't realize how much harder he had it. Without realizing it she hugged him.
"I-I'm sorry Zuko" Katara apologized
"It's okay" Zuko smiled at her as he held her chin between his dump and index finger making her ocean blue eyes look at his golden ones. They didn't know how long they were staring at each other but they both leaned closer and begin to close their eyes before they knew it their lips were connected. Katara wrapped one of her arms around his neck and the ofher was getting tangled in his brown locks. Zuko wrapped both of his arms around her waist holding her closer to deapen the kiss. After what felt like hours both of them pulled away and looked at each other both of them were a blushing mess
''We should get back to the others before they realise we're gone'' Katara said while still staring into Zuko's golden orbs.''And...don't tell anyone about this night, especially not Aang..it's a secret between us...okay ?'' Katara asked while blushing ''Sure, I won't tell anyone'' answered Zuko.
After 2 minutes of walking without saying a word to eachother Zuko asked ''So...what's going on between you and Aang ?'' Zuko looked at Katara waiting for an answer. ''It's complicated'' Katara answered as she kept walking. ''I see...'' Zuko had to walk faster to keep up with Katara. ''I think Aang likes me, but the thing is..I don't feel the same about him. Aang is like a little brother to me and I-I already have my eyes on someone else who I really li-no love'' Katara said as she looked at the ground. Zuko didn't no why but he felt a bit hurt when she said that she has her eyes on someone else and that she loves them"c-can you tell me who you like... It's okay if you don't want to tell me?" Katara's face begin to heat up and she took a couple of deap breaths and looked at Zuko
"It's you......"
