"Bring your stuff down Ali!" my mother said. I was not excited to move. New house, new friends, new school? No thanks. I'm fine just where I am.
I'm Ali. Alison Anne Mariner. As of now, I live in Colorado. I love it here. All my friends and family are here. That's all I need. But who cares what I think, we're moving to North Carolina. We go on vacation there almost every year, and I love it there, but we don't know anyone there. Everyone loves our family here in Colorado. My family consists of me, my 2 brothers, Justin and Jake, my parents, Amy and Jon, and my favorite, Duff. Duff is my dog, a German shepherd. He's 3 years old and I love him to death. We're all moving in about three minutes, and my mom is so stressed out. She's a perfectionist. Everything has to be perfect whenever she wants it to be. "The movers are here!" She yelled up the stairs. "Bye life" I said under my breath and walked out of my house.
We drove behind the movers, and it would take about 12 hours to get there. Kill me now.
I tried to sleep on the way there, but my brothers were so annoying. They wouldn't shut up. Plus the roads were bumpy. I shut my eyes again and tried to go to sleep, and the next time I opened them, I was at my new house.
Our house was on the beach, in Corolla, NC. So it was pretty awesome. Our house was huge. 4 stories, modern, a hot tub and pool, and our backyard was the beach. It wasn't the usual crowded beach. There was no lifeguards. I looked down the shore and there were two boys, looked about my age. As I went to approach them and greet them, my dad stopped me. "Ali, can you please start grabbing boxes? We don't have time for exploring right now." We had to move here for my dad's job. He makes medicine. Someday, he hopes to find a cure for cancer. Since he makes a descant amount of money, my mom is a stay at home mom, which I hate. I have no privacy at all, she just walks into my room whenever she wants to and tells me to clean up my room. Every single thing she does pisses me off most of the time, especially when I'm tired.
Since it's June, we don't have school right now. I can't stop thinking about those boys on the beach. I could see their bright blue eyes from a miles distance. They were beautiful.
I woke up the next morning, with boxes in my room. I had to unpack. My room was already painted a soft blue, which I really liked. I have my own bathroom in my room, and my room is pretty big.
I finished unpacking almost everything, I just need to hang up my white lights around the top of my ceiling. Today my dad started his new job, and my mom and the boys were touring a lighthouse today, so I had the house to myself. I knew what I wanted to do.
