I brushed my long blonde hair, put it in a messy bun, put on my favorite hollister bikini, and grabbed my ray ban sun glasses. I struggled to find the beach towels, but I got one. I ran out the French doors onto the beach and smelled the salty air. My feet sank into the warm sand. I love the beach. What I didn't love was that the two blue eyed boys weren't there.
I glanced over to see a really pretty girl reading a book by the water. She waved. "Oh don't be shy, come over here!" I walked over shyly. She said her name was Maddie. "Welcome to Corolla! What's your name?" She said. "My name is Alison, but you can call me Ali." I said with a smile on my face. She looked like she was about my age. "I saw the moving trucks yesterday. I live two doors down. Where are you from?" She said. "The Rocky Mountains of Colorado." I said.
Maddie made me feel so welcomed. We instantly became best friends. I looked at my phone and we had been on the beach for three hours. "I guess i should get going, my parents will be home soon!" I said. "Wait, could I have your number so we could hangout?" She said. We exchanged numbers and I was on my way.
When I got home my parents were unpacking, still. "How was the beach honey?" My mom asked. "Great! I met one of our neighbors. Her name is Maddie and she's really nice." I said happily. "Thats great sweetie." My dad said with a smile. I ran upstairs to my room.
