A week later, I got my first paycheck. The manager was completely oblivious that my only job up until then was sleeping. I laughed about it with my buddies and we went out to blow the money on a night out. Not out too late, of course. I still had to be on the clock.
When I came in, the camera systems were installed. There was a wireless tablet next to the chair that had recently become my bed, and I picked it up. There was a sticky note attached to it that had a few instructions scribbled on it. I couldn't read them, but it was pretty self explanatory as I tapped the screen to switch from camera to camera. There were also a couple big buttons attached to the doorways into the office now, but when I pressed them nothing happened. I flipped through the cameras again before shrugging and sitting down to sleep.
The next day, my boss called me and told me to come to the pizzeria as soon as possible. I was terrified that he had found out about me sleeping on the job somehow, but he was just excited that their main attractions were finally finished. Four robots, or "animatronics" as he referred to them, were standing on the stage. One was a big brown bear, one was a blue-purple rabbit, one was a red pirate-themed fox, and one was... A yellow blob. She was supposed to be a chicken, but only faintly resembled it. Apparently this were the fancy new tech that I was guarding. The boss, who had proudly nicknamed himself "Mr. Fazbear", must've gotten the hint that I didn't care in the slightest, because he stopped trying to explain how they worked and showed me into my office. The same hard hat guy from before was installing some big metal doors.
"So if there's ever someone with a gun or anything that you need to call the cops to deal with, just slam these doors shut with the buttons we put in before and use the landline. Otherwise, you're a big guy, I'm sure you can deal with vandals yourself."That night, I was a bit peeved that my job had been complicated. But old habits die hard, and soon I was asleep.
CRASH!
A loud noise woke me up from my nightmare and I steadied my breathing... Checking the cameras, I saw nothing out of the ordinary.
"HOLY FU- Wait a second..."
I groan as I see the bear standing upright in the dining area, someone must've set it up to scare me. Well it worked, my heart was beating out of my chest! After putting my earbuds in, I was lightly snoozing by the time the bear suddenly walked into my office, like some sort of zombie from a monster film. A girly scream escaped my throat, my groggy mind unable to react before his giant paw-like hands gripped my ankles, dragging me down the hall. I yelled, tried to crawl away, but his strength was inhuman. We were headed towards the maintenance closet, and he dragged me through the door. It was dark, but I saw the glint of red as he shoved me feet first into the purple suit. The pain was excruciating as sharp metal punctured my skin, and strong animatronic paws crushed my ankles as he forced them into the rabbit's exoskeleton. The last thing I heard before I passed out, never to wake up, was the loud snapping of my femurs...
Just another nightmare, right?
(A/N Oh man, who was expecting that? Anyone? Well, this definitely isn't the end of the story, I'm just getting started. Happy reading!)
