They surround me,
Asking for answers.
Clutching every straw,
And pulling the rope tight. It tightens around my neck,
Cutting off my air.
Pulling me into the water,
Dragging me deeper. My body tries to fight,
Holding the last breath.
Arms struggling but tied,
Bound to the boulder that lies.Every strength is used,
To try and escape,
But slowly the efforts slow down,
As the breath runs out.Slowly my body goes limp,
As the pressure increases.
Choking quietly,
Drowning,
In their eyes,
Thoughts,
And words.They carry on,
Oblivious to the pain,
The torture,
And the agony.
Muffled by the unrelenting force,
Are the silent protests,
And cries for help,
That will never leave. The pain slowly fades.
The light slowly dims.
Slowly being shielded away,
From my eyes,
That finally close.
Finally giving me peace.
Finally setting me free.By Shadows_01
