Quick yet important note:

During the summer I will not be updating very often, seeing as I'm going to have an incredibly busy Summer this year. So, I'll try to get some chapters prewritten, but just a heads up in case some of you wonder why I'm not updating very fast.

And without further ado, I present chapter 10~

~Jerome's P.O.V.~

     Five days of uneventful travelling later...

     "Look, there it is. Just up ahead."

     Preston and I follow Rob's gaze, and lay our eyes on the impressively built castle of the Royal kingdom, set straight ahead. It's castle towers above the houses and shops of the kingdom, three tall smooth spires reaching easily past the clouds. The entire kingdom is situated in a plains biome, with a tidy little birch forest on the West side, and once again plains on the East, which is the direction we're coming from. Even from a distance, it's easy to distinguish the far away specs that are people, bustling about in the streets. The entire kingdom is shielded by a stone-brick wall, watch towers placed at regular intervals. Overall, it's quite a beautiful sight. At night, the streets are barren, and that's the only time it's ever silent.

     "So how are we going to go about doing this? Jerome and I can't go in, because we're mutants. And you can't take on Mitch and an entire army yourself." Preston points out, the three of us situated out of sight behind a small cluster of trees.
     "Yeah, we know about the whole, being-invisible-and-knocking-Mitch-out ting, but first we have to find a way to find him. And then once we find him, get to him. The invisibility potions won't last long enough for us to look for him, knock him out, and make our way out."
     Rob beams, seemingly out of the blue. "I thought you'd never ask. Here's what I'm thinking. First, we should do it at night. When people are asleep. Then, I want Preston to sneak in and set a small fire inside castle. This should flush the army out, and they'll have to out it out. They're also going to be expecting it to be an attack from another kingdom, so there's a good chance Mitch will come out. Then we all meet up, I'll splash an invisibility potion on us, and we'll proceed from there. Sound good?"

     It's silent for a few moments as Preston and I take in the procedure.

     "That's... Actually not too bad of an idea." I comment.
     "Just one problem... How am I supposed to get in the castle? People will see my glowing skin. And speaking of which, how are you guys supposed to get in? There's going to be guards at the gates and on the watchtowers."

     But Rob's grin only widens.

     "And that's why..." He adds, pausing for effect, "I've been collecting these."

     As Preston and I eye down the green-blue orbs, I can feel a small smirk tugging at my lips. Maybe this will work out after all.

~~~
     "Small fire! I said to start a small fire! This is not small!"
"In my defence I was left unsupervised."
In the background, visible from out small hiding spot in an alley, the monstrous fire lights up the sky, flames engulfing nearly and entire tower.
