Chapter 1- Nikki

Beep beep beep beep be- "ugh.." time to get up? Already?  Welp.. time for another day. "Nikki!!!! Time to get up and get ready for school!" Nikki's mom called from her small apartment kitchen. "I'm up.." Nikki groggily sat up rubbing her eyes of sleep looking at the clock saying 6:00. She got up and looked in the mirror on her wall, at her short silvery-white dyed hair, and her tired and gloomy grey-blue eyes. She walked to her small closet full mostly of black t-shirts and jeans, and pulled out her favorite shirt, it was a black t-shirt with the caption : it's an anime thing, you wouldn't get it, a pair of jeans, a black hoodie, and slipped them on. She brushed her hair and fixed it to its normal position, halfway covering her face. She's not what you would call a social person. So she just hides and tries to avoid eye contact so as to not start up a conversation. After getting ready she went to join her mother in the kitchen. "Morning momma." "Morning Nikki. How did you sleep?" She asked while getting the milk from the fridge, probably to make Nikki' s  little bro cereal since her mom doesn't really eat breakfast. "Eh. I slept ok." She replied while grabbing the cereal and a bowl from the cabinet."Good." After they made the cereal, Nikki called her brother Logan to the table to eat. "Morning sissy!" He said in his usual happy mood and sat down next to Nikki. "Mornin bro." They ate in silence. After they were all ready for school, their mom tells them to head to the car. Nikki goes in the car and popped in her ear buds and listened  to slipknot ( a rock band ) on the way to school.

Time skip to 1st period class

"Sup Nikki." Nikki' s friend Peyton ( a girl ) said in the desk next to her. "Oh hey Pey, the usual.." " Oh hold on a sec" Peyton pulled out her phone and typed what seemed to be a message to someone. "It's my boyfriend Bradley, anyway, is somthing wrong? You seem.. off. " " It's nothing" Nikki lied. Peyton didn't seem convinced but didn't push it.

Time skip to lunch

"I can't believe what Nathan did, he hugged me right in front of a teacher! We couldve gotten in trouble! Ugh. " Taylor babbled her usual drama to our little group. "Are you seriously freaking out about that Tay?" Peyton replied. "I'm not freaking out." Taylor shot back. Peyton just shrugged and pulled out her phone to Snapchat people. Nikki, Mackenzie, and Neve were just sitting there silent. ._.  " Mackenzie was mostly quiet and shy. But she is wild and pretty protective of her friends. She's too skinny, but much stronger than she looks! "There goes my twin." Called Neve to her twin Natalie going over to get her lunch. Natalie waved to Neve with a smile. Although they weren't identical twins, only paternal, you could notice some similarities. Neve has dirty-blonde hair with green eyes. Natalie has almost the same color hair and is a little skinnier and has hazel eyes. Peyton is very tall, wears way too much makeup, but it actually looks good on her. She has long brown straight hair with blonde streaks. Taylor has bleach blonde super curly hair usually worn up or in a bun,  and baby blue eyes. To get away from any drama and having to talk Nikki put her earbuds in and listened to music for the rest of lunch.

Time skip to the end of school and back home

Nikki had gotten out her phone and was on Facebook looking at posts from other people as usual. She had posted a screenshot of a scene from one of her favorite anime and noticed somone had commented on it. She went to read it and it said :

Curious107-  hello Nikki. what is this anime? It looks awesome. Can you tell me?

So Nikki replied - hello. It's called Soul Eater. Its my favorite anime. ^w^

"It wouldn't hurt to except. He seems nice enough..." Nikki thought to herself as she pressed the accept button. Little did she know that pressing that button accepted more than just a friend into her life.
