Here it is!
Tick tock. Tick tock. Tick tock.
“He forgot our 6 month anniversary! The nerve! And I'll have you kiddies know that right then and there...”
I'm seriously considering banging my head against the desk to escape from this hell. The psychology professor has been going on and on about her MANY ex-boyfriends for the past hour. It boggles my mind that she has been talking about her ex's since the beginning of the class, and she's probably not even half way done. What the hell has this woman been up to during the winter break?
“Then one day while I was buying some ice cream to help me cope with the break-up, I spotted a handsome, dashing man looking at a shelf stocked with Jello's...”
RIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNGGG
Thank the lord. Slinging my green backpack over my shoulder, I bolt out of there. I couldn't have run out of that room fast enough. I'm thankfully done with my classes for the day, and I'm thinking about indulging in a pack of oreos when I get home. My mouth is already watering from the very thought of oreos. Yum.
My phone goes off in my pocket, and I take it out to see that it's a text from Ryan. Get ur fine a$$ over to the parking lot ASAP. We're waiting for u Horan.
I make it out to the parking lot and immediately spot those two morons playing patty cake by Ryan's truck. I smile at the sight. They may be 19 physically, but not mentally. It's unbelievable that they made it into a university. They catch me looking their way and wave me over.
“Ready to go to Ry's place?” Nick smiles.
“Does he have oreos?” I question seriously.
“Indeed he does.” Ryan answers in a posh accent.
“Off we go peasants!” I hop into the truck and buckle up in the passenger seat before they get in and Ryan starts the car.
I look out the window when we pass that spot where I saw the mysterious man earlier today. The incident has been bothering me all day, but I'm not sure if I want to know the answers to my questions. It was weird, not in a good way, and I'm scared to be honest. Someone is possibly stalking me, for reasons unknown. I push these thoughts to the back of my mind because right now, I should be letting loose with my pals.
“...Yeh, a guy in my Journalism class is going to throw a sick pool party tonight and there's definitely going to be some eye candy. So what do you guys say?” Ryan briefly looks at us as he drives.
“Yeah buddy! You don't even need to ask.” Nick excitedly whoops from the backseat.
I bite my lip in nervousness. Crap. What should I do? Should I make up some excuse or go to that pool party and cover up the mark with some water-proof makeup? People probably won't give a shit about my “tattoo” since there are guys at uni who look like walking murals, but I'm still very self-conscious about it. I hate letting others see it so much that I haven't even told Nick or Ryan about it yet...
