Hey, I'm Raven. Most people call me Rae. I was diagnosed with brain cancer at age 15. Since then I have tried to live each day like it's my last. I attend Waddlisting High School.. i'm in the 10th grade. Every so often I go to school. But usually I am at home resting in bed. To everyone in my grade i'm known as freak girl with the bald head, but it doesn't really bother me. The only thing that makes me happy is basketball. I may not be very good at it, but my family supports me no matter what.
In the 8th grade, I assure you that I was the happiest girl in the world. I had so many friends, and everyone loved having me around. There was this boy too.. his name was Tom. I would wake up every morning just for him. His smile and eyes were the highlight to my day. He liked me too, i just know he did. When i stopped coming to school, and losing my hair.. people noticed. They laughed at me. They didn't know of my condition, and continued to not care. As for Tom, yeah, he laughed with them. He sent me so many hateful texts about how ugly i was and how stupid i was for shaving my head. I felt worthless and unwanted. Those amazing good night texts i usually got from him were done for good, he deleted my number, and everything he knew of me in his mind.
