"Shit!" I shouted as I checked my alarm clock. 7:30. Homeroom starts in 20 minutes. Shit, shit, shit. I ran around searching for clothes while brushing my teeth. I rushed to turn my straightener on and grabbed a clean pair of pants and a sweatshirt.

"Arabella, hurry up! You're going to be late for school!" My mom shouted from downstairs.

"I know, Mom!" I yelled as I finished my make-up and started straightening my hair. I ran to my car and sped to school making it just before the bell. My best friend, Sam, was waiting for me at my locker.

"Dude, I've been standing at your locker for 5 minutes!" Sam said, laughing slightly.

"I slept in," I complained, sighing loudly. "Guess Mom forgot to wake me up again." I shrugged. Sam and I walked to homeroom together, gossiping about everything.

"LOSER!" The captain of the football team, Justin, yelled at some scrawny freshman. I felt bad for the poor kid, so I decided I'd do something.

"JUSTIN! PUT THE KID DOWN NOW!" I stated, raising my voice ever so slightly. Justin looked surprised that I, being the shy one, stuck up for some kid I didn't know.

"Sorry, Bella, I won't happen again." Justin frowned. Wait, what? Justin apologized? JUSTIN KNOWS

MY NAME!? Sam and I gave each other a look. I've had a huge crush on Justin Bartley for as long ever since we were 5 years old.

I was walking to my car after dismissal when I hear my name being called de behind. "Hey, Arabella, wait up!" No, it couldn't be. Justin Bartley screaming MY name? Oh wow!

Once Justin finally caught up to me, he said, "Hey, Bella, I was wondering if maybe you'd like to go on a date with me on Friday?" He itched the back of his neck, and oh my, those biceps are to die for. "Arabella?" He questioned,

oh my, was I waiting that long to respond. "Yes, you kind've are." Oh shit, I said that out loud.

"Uhm, yes, of course I'll go on a date with you." I said, twiddling my thumbs and staring at the ground. He gently grabbed my chin and tilted my head up towards his. His eyes were like beautiful blue oceans, they were such a gorgeous mix of gray and blue.

"I can't wait." He responded, seeming happy, anxious, and eager. Then, he did the impossible. He leaned down, and kissed my cheek, "I'll text you after practice is over, babe." He winked and ran back toward the school.

He has my number? This must be a trick. Justin is always with the

bimbo, air headed cheerleaders. Would he really be going for some nobody like me?
