"I am almost there, I am almost there, I can make it..." I kept telling myself this over and over again. I just need to cross that border line. But part of was already accepting the fact that at the rate at which I am losing blood right now, I was never going to make it.

I tried my level best to move forward even after 5 bullets had lodged different parts of my body. My second in command, Ahem was fighting back to back with me. We moved in sync, fighting our way across the field towards the borderline. My men might not be the best skilled, but as a team we were a force to reckoned with. But being heavily out-numbered and being at other multiple disadvantages were taking its toll on us.

The layout of the battle zone was pretty simple. The enemy trope which was much larger in number had already claimed all the prime spots on the ground. They were equipped with much advanced weapons technology than us. I lost half my men to "The Pulse". An instrument that they use to send shock waves at us, that can easily shatter every bone in a body with a single impact. My team aligned themselves in the best way possible to protect Ahem and I. All of us were trained to analyse and deflect the enemy's advances. But bullets from hidden snipers capable of easily penetrating our shields were another thing.

My mouth was getting pooled with my blood. I spat it out but the metallic taste remained. I was dragging my now useless left leg using my other good one. I sensed another Pulse load in my direction. I rolled on the ground to avoid it but I was less lucky in avoiding the laser beam aimed at me. I felt it scorch the right side of my face completely. The smell of my own seared flesh started suffocating me. With my one good eye I saw that Ahem has fallen as well. I chastised myself to try and get up, but to no avail. The last thing I remember is Rudre walking up to me with a teasing smile. "You lost, sweetheart." He said chuckling. I tried to smile back. "But I was so close to victory." I whined to him before darkness consumed me.

I woke up to the sensation that a thousand knives were piercing every part of my body. I tried to be as still as possible because I knew that even the slightest movement will only increase the pain many folds. I knew that there was no need for me to worry now, for I have been in this situation a thousand times. The excruciating pain of the healing process. Me and my team must be brought back from the training ground and send for healing. Curiosity made me open my eyes and I regretted my decision immediately for even that slight movement of my eye lids causes me more pain.

Sure enough, I was in the infirmary. The very famous and familiar infirmary of the palace. Famous because it has the best Healers in existence and familiar because I have been here all too many times to count and so were the others of my team.

I saw the Head Healer, Meera walk up to me. She looked to be around eighteen years of age. She wore the periwinkle colored uniform of a healer. The red and black badge with golden palace emblem over it indicated the fact that she was the Head Healer of this palace infirmary.

She had a scowl on her face. "Close your eyes, Tia. You don't want to blink." she said in a highly annoyed tone. My eyes were already starting to water, so I obeyed her immediately. Now all I can hear was her rambling. "I have absolutely no idea what they are thinking. Putting her through this over and over again just because they know that I can bring her back to normal. I am fed up of this, Tia! Why aren't you refusing to participate in this so called intense training program? It is so disheartening to see your mutilated body being returned here for healing over and over again. I am having a word with Ava about this. This is truly unacceptable. When you get back on your feet, you are going to hear an earful from me sweetheart." I can still her complaining, threatening and questioning the system and again rebuking Ava for not taking any steps against it. She loved me dearly and seeing me like this over and over again was driving her crazy.

Ava or Avanthika is Meera's sister and my mother. She is the Queen of the 5th Dhwani. The most unique and important one out of the 14 Dhwanis. So that makes me the princess of the 5th Dhwani.

My name is Agatha and I am the princess and sole heir of Thejas, the 5th Dhwani. There are 14 Aryans who protect the 14 Dhwanis or the 14 Absolute Dimensions. My father Heston is the 5th Aryan. These 14 Kings and 14 Queens are granted with immortality to forever protect "The Absolute" or the multiverse.

They are answerable only to the high king Igor Ekham and his queen Mirna Ekham. We believe that we all are part of a higher being or a higher truth or nirvana that we call as "Ekta" or the Essence.

Contrary to popular belief, it was never a universe. There are infinitely many universes separated from each other forever. The more accurate term will be dimensions. These infinite numbers of dimensions never meet each other, hence they are termed as the "Parallel Dimensions" or "The Absolute". In each dimension or universe, there will be a planet of life. The most priced entity of that dimension. The very life line of a dimension is determined by the existence of that planet of life. It is impossible for those life forms or particularly one, "humans" to cross the border of one dimension and enter into another, because within a dimension light travels the fastest and that limit prevents them from crossing over. Light is the protective barrier of life in a dimension and nothing can bypass light in a dimension.

The 14 Absolute dimensions or Dhwanis aren't dimensions. They are the 14 entities defining a dimension. The most important of the 14 is energy, the entity of the 5th Dhwani , Thejas. My father is its Aryan and king and my mother is its Queen. But my mother was actually born into the 7th Dhwani , Prithvi, the second most important one for they control the planets of life in every dimension. Her older brother, Dhyan is the 7th Aryan.

It is believe that when the Absolute faces a peril far greater than the one the 14 Aryans can prevent, the Essence or Ekta will send her daughter Agni to protect The Absolute. It is believed that in such times the incarnation of Agni takes birth among them and save the Absolute from the eminent disaster.

Now is such a time and everyone believes that I am the new incarnation of  Agni. I, Agatha am entrusted with the duty to protect The Absolute as Agni, the daughter of Ekta.

And all I can think about is, "God, there must be a mistake, because I don't think I am the one."
