The girls walked back through the narrow streets of London to Tess's flat. Athena kept her hands nestled in the cosy pockets of her parka. Tess was the opposite of Athena; wearing tight clothes, no fluffy socks, no baggy hoodies and especially no long t-shirts. But it made sense why Tess was like that. Tess studied at an London University for arts, and Athena at Imperial university.

Both completely different, but the best of friends.

The apartment block was a standard red brick building, and the apartment was a standard student apartment.

Athena slipped her knee high brown uggs off by the door, being careful not to leave dirt on the carpet. To Athena this was her second home, and when she came to think of it. She barely ever stayed in her own apartment.

Tired and lethargic Tess and Athena both sat down on the sofa; Athena curling herself up in the fluffy blanket she had forced Tess to buy.

Tess looked over to her friend and smiled saying "I know what you need"
Athena looked up. "You need some hot chocolate and retail therapy" Athena groaned "I think hot chocolate is enough."

Tess frowned "fine, if you insist."

Within minutes Tess had whipped up some nice hot chocolate and prepared herself to show Athena her surprise.

"Thea, I- um, well" Tess hesitated "Theo has been given a ticket to Italy. But he doesn't want to go alone and you see. I thought that instead you could use a break."

Athena choked on her drink "Tess, it's Theo's ticket. He should go" Theo was Tess's boyfriend.

Tess began to argue, but the door opened as Theo stepped in. A look of shock crossed his face "Athena, I didn't know you were coming" Athena sipped her hot chocolate and kept her head down letting Tess explain.

"I was just telling Athena about the ticket" Theo pulled his leather jacket off and sat down in the chair opposite Tess.

"Ah, yes the ticket. Well you see, I don't want to leave Tess over winter break and to buy another ticket is to costly. So I don't want to waste it" Theo said giving Tess a glance.

Athena shuffled in her seat, "I understand, but don't I need to give my details in" she argued. Tess sat up
"I already gave them in"
Athena stared up at her friend "but how did you-" she cut herself off mid sentence "you know what, I don't want to know."

That evening Athena walked home slower than usual, she let her mind wonder. She let it wonder to all the possible outcomes of this trip that she now had to pack for.
