I never put two and two together and realized it. Only after embraces were passed around like a hot potato and goodbyes were officially goodbyes. September of 2009 was the meeting of the audacious trio. We linked together naturally. We were the winning pattern of a Rubix cube. Ever since I noticed it, I discovered that a pair of twins- any pair of twins- would gradually gravitate to me. I didn't concern you two with the stereotypical questions of "Does your mom mix you up?" or even "When do you match outfits?". I always had a talent for telling you both apart. Whether it was the trademark mole on P's (I'm mentioning by the first letter of their names for privacy issues) neck. Or how E's voicebox seemed one tone escalated when telling a joke. I didn't treat you guys as a duo package. Isn't it mad how to this day I can still conjure a blueprint layout of your house? I recall where the famous Foosball table was (upstairs in the northeast corner of the den) or what days your father would visit (Thursdays, Fridays, and the weekend.) . Non-observant stuff like that. I would purposely wear that hideous black and violet felt hat to playdates just because it displeased E. And we would entertain ourselves with Nerd battles and Waterbaloon fights and that rickety Slip 'n' Slide that would roughly scrape our kneecaps with its steaks. Plus, your family was my family. I trusted your mother with my lifespan and your cousin that lived with you was my video game buddy. It was home for 3 years. And when I departed for some northern air, I couldn't stop my mind from it having continual dreams about you two. It forced me to brainstorm of what I could of said to both of you before the hour glass ran out of sand. I still see you both online. I force myself a peak, just a peak at what you guys look like now. It's a shame really, how 3 summers of memories can just slip us. I promise you one day I'm going to bite the bullet and message either E or P. Just not today. Not now. One time I will let the nostalgia wave back into me.
