Lay (EXO) - Promise

It was around 2:00 am when Lay finally got inside his house. It was late, but he couldn't do much about it. With their comeback around the corner; they had to practice night and day. The house was quiet, which was expected. He entered quietly; feeling like every move he made was too much noise.

Leaving his belongings on the table he got himself a glass of water, he noticed a note in the fridge, her handwriting made him smile. 'Left some dinner in the microwave, eat something before going to bed xoxo :)' he read. Smiling softly he started to heat the dinner. He didn't know what he would do without her, she was always there when he needed it. She was there when work was too much and he was too stressed out to be pleasant to be around.

After finishing his dinner he walked inside their room. She was sleeping on his bedside, which was not a surprise to him. He tried to slowly walk to the bed, just to not wake her up. Feeling at ease when he finally got inside the blanket. He smiled; turning to look at her face, she was breathing slowly, in and out, her face was peaceful. He pulled up the blanket to cover the both of them completely, kissing her forehead goodnight.

He was awakened by the moving next to him, turning slightly to see her moving in her sleep. Trying to be gentle as he could he tried to leave the bed, it was one of these days that he wanted to show her how grateful he was to her. Being quiet he walks towards the kitchen to start breakfast. It didn't take long for him to start everything and get it done fast enough.

He was almost done when the kitchen door opened to reveal her, standing there just watching him.

"What are you doing up?" she asked and moved next to him.

"I was trying to surprise you with breakfast" he said touching the back of his neck.

"What for?" she was confused, it wasn't a special occasion or maybe she had forgotten.

"Just to say thank you. You are always there for me when I need you, always try to make me the happiest and you know exactly what to say when I feel like giving up. You deserve more than just this" he said slowly walking up to her and hugging her "I just want to make you feel appreciated"

"You don't have to do all of this. But, thank you. I love you" she told him sincerely kissing him slowly. "Now, let's eat before the breakfast gets burned"
