"Hey Bird Boy!" My friend Cara walked up to me.

"Hey." I waved back. I motioned for her to sit by me, under the brick wall.

"So, how are you?" Her bright blue eyes looked at me. Beautiful. I remind myself not to fall in love her, only fools do. She will just backstab me again, maybe.

"The usual. How about you?" I hid the scars on my arm using my red and black flannel shirt.

"I'm sorry, and I'm not doing great." She looked down at her vans. Her short brown hair hung beautifully around her sad face. She is an angel on the outside, but a devil within.

"Do you want to talk." I went to grab her hand and then I hesitated and put my hand on the ground instead. The cold hard ground. Like me.

"I'm moving. Far away."

"Where? When?"

"In a week, to Washington. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner."

"It's okay. I mean, it's not okay that your moving and-"

She got up and left. To her other friends. Ignoring me, she never cared. No one does.

Only fools fall for her, and I have before. We were in middle school and she was so kind to me. I fell for her. I thought I loved her, one night when we were out with her friends she kissed me. Then, a month later she told everyone I hurt her. That I was a terrible person and to never trust me.

Dear Cara, only fools fall you.
