I was just unloading the moving truck of all my possessions. I had lived in Florida for so long that I was a little depressed to come to California. Our new house was much different from our old house. This house had 2 stories... And a basement. My mother had told me to put all of the stuff I don't use in the basement. I found it strange that the door to the basement was locked. So I put all my stuff aside and tried to relax. I found a fireplace in what seemed to be the living room. It was actually quite bigger than my old living room. This one had no tv, was about 15 feet in circumference, and had a fireplace that looked like it
hadn't been used in years. So I fired it up and started to warm myself. After a few minutes I saw a sharp reflective glow in the fire. A KEY!!! I quickly put out the fire and grabbed the Key with the tongs. I took the keys to the sink and I cleaned it. It was a very glossy key. That would explain the reflection. I ran to the basement door with key almost tripping on the rug when I got there I was stumbling and I hit the door. When I turned around I felt a dark aura surround the door and me. I carefully unlocked the door and I opened it. It was dark in there so I pulled a string a bulb flashed on. It looked completely normal. One light bulb, Nothing inside, and cracks in the walls. But it felt like someone or thing was watching me. Now I had a bad case of paranoia but this was different. I not only felt eyes on the back my head but the room felt... Evil. I left the boxes where they were and took my first step up the stairs when an annoying creak broke the silence. I turned my head back around and my eyes almost fell out. The creature was standing there with his yellow glowing eyes fixed on me. It's skin was grey, oily, and cracked. But worst of all were it's teeth. It had no lips and it's teeth were wide open. And it stood there just smiling at me. I was petrified as I stood there helpless In front if this creature. It took a step forward and then I finally regained consciousness. I turned and I ran. I didn't dare to turn around and look at it. I feared I would freeze up again. When I finally got upstairs again I shut the door and turned and leaned my back against the door...
