Lucy's POV

"Natsu? What are you doing here so late?" I questioned, walking closer to the pink-haired boy.

"Oh, you're home Luce." He mumbled. 'Well, it looks like he's been here pretty much all day...'

"Hey, how long have you been here for?" I questioned as I sat down next to him.

"To be honest, I lost track of time..." he answered with a half-smile and small laugh. You can tell it was hard for him to manage a laugh.

"Well, you must be cold or even hungry, why don't you come in," I answered getting back up, unlocking my door. *feels warm embrace/head on shoulders* "Umm, Nat-"

"Can we...stay like this just for a little longer?" He mumbled as he tightens his hold on me. *sigh*

"Okay," I answered with a small smile on my face. I placed a hand over his hands while my other one on his head.

"Luce, have you ever been in love before?" He mumbled.

"In love?" I question as he nodded through my shirt. "Let's see, I think it was when I was a little girl. I had the biggest crush on one of my family friends, he was always super kind to those around him and had a big heart. Many girls liked him because of how kind he was, but I knew he always had a sweet spot for me since he treated me a little different than most girls. But I don't know if you'd count that as first love." I let out a small laugh as I could feel Natsu shaking his head.

"I guess that can count, even if it was when you were just a little girl." He answered.

"I'm sorry," I whispered to him.

"For what?" He questioned, still holding onto me.

"For everything and how you found out. That shouldn't have been the way you found out." I answered, feeling extremely guilty.

"It's okay, I was already suspicious of her cheating for a while now. It just hurts to know that it's true." He answered, letting me go. "Thank you for telling me even if it wasn't faced to face. If you didn't I would have still been in that relationship."

"No problem, I'm glad I was able to help. No one deserves to be in such a toxic relationship like that, especially if it's one-sided. You deserve someone who'll love you with all her heart and when you find her, you'll know she's the one." I answered with a smile.

"I hope you're right about that. Well, I should probably get going, I wouldn't want to bother you any longer, besides it's kinda late." He awkwardly said rubbing the back of his head.

"Before you leave, how about cooking us some dinner? You must be starving, I mean you've been waiting at my door since like 4 or 5 pm?" I asked.

"No it's- *stomach growls*  Haha..." he giggled awkwardly with a tint light pink scattered on his cheeks.

"Come on in you weirdo." I giggled as I opened the door for us. We walked into my apartment as he sat in the kitchen while I went straight to the kitchen.

"By the way, what happened to that cat you rescued?" I questioned getting dinner ready.

"Happy? He's at home playing with Carla, I think." He answered.

"Who's Carla?" I asked, turning on the stove.

"Carla is Wendy's cat, they're both the same age so they often play with either other. Well, mostly Happy tries, but she always blows him off. I think the little guy has a crush on her." He giggled.

"Aw, how cute!" I giggled as I pulled the steamer with vegetables.

"You're sure right, the little guy sure is cute. It's so hard not to take him to school with me." He laughed.

"Aw, all these talks about pets makes me want to get one! I mean I've always wanted one, but I feel like I won't have enough time for them." I pouted as I grilled the chicken breast.

"I feel like that with Happy sometimes, but he likes to be with Carla. He's always trying to impress her it's kinda funny, but also cute." He exclaimed as I set our food on the table.

"Wow, this looks and smells so good!! Thanks, Luce!" He smiled, digging in.

"Why thank you. It's not every day I hear anyone liking my food." I smiled as I began to eat as well.

"Hey, Luce I was wondering. Why do you wear glasses when you can see perfectly fine without them?" questioned Natsu while we cleaned up the table.

"I- W-w-what do you mean?? I really can't see!" I panicked as I took the plates to the sink.

"Hey, why are you panicking? You should also be careful, you might drop- *Lucy drops the plates* the plates..." I heard him say.

"Oh my gosh! Why am I being so clumsy today? Hahaha..." I awkwardly laughed. 'I'm going crazy, help!'

"Luce, don't touch that you might cut-"

"ouch!" I yelped as my finger started to bleed.

"yourself. *sigh*  When did you become so clumsy, Luce?" he questioned as he took my finger and sucked on it. *Doki, Doki*

"Do you have a first aid kit?" he questioned while I nodded my head pointing to the bathroom. i watched as he disappeared into the bathroom while I sat on the kitchen floor. 'What was that? *puts hands over heart* My heart. It was beating so fast.'

"I found it! Here, let's fix up that cut of yours." He smiled holding up the medkit. I watched as he sat next to me, feeling as though time had just slowed down as he cleaned my cut and bandaged it up.

"There, good as new!" he exclaimed with one of the signature grins.

"You're pretty cute when you smile," I mumbled staring at him.

~ Enjoy ;)
