After the help you got, time flew by quicker, and after what felt like seconds the bell went. Completely to your surprise a student with their bag part open approached you "Do you know where the maths block is?" The student asked

"I don't, sorry, you replied

Soon after English had ended you were heading towards s28 along with Archie "When we get there will you be waiting for anyone?"

"I am not," you reply

"Mind if I sit next to you," Archie asked

"It will be no problem,"

Not long after English both of you had arrived at s28 and you had sat down ready to start the lesson. The classroom was bare with the walls sparsely decorated. Not long after you have arrived, a student with his shirt not tucked in, his tie just thrown on and wearing yellow trainers. Instantly after the teacher arrived "Hello class, I am your history teacher Mr. Sharpe I have basic rules if you forget homework you do it at lunch. If you don't come you also have a lunchtime one and if it happens again you also get an after-school detention.

As usually happens in history a massive chunk of the lesson is just the teacher talking and you taking notes. Once that was finally done worksheets were handed out, they were not difficult at all it was just applying the knowledge.

Completely out of the blue I heard the teacher shout "stop talking! And get on with your work!" That student started talking for the second time, "Why should I this does not matter," he answered back

"You are here to learn not just talk!"

"If you think this does not matter, then I bet you think your free time does not matter. See me after school this room all this week including breaks and lunches as well!"

After that happened the lesson was fairly uneventful and it was over in what felt like in a second. It was now time to head to maths.

In not long after you arriving Archie arrives "Are you waiting for somebody?" Archie asks

"I was waiting for you," you reply

Shortly after you a student with a broad smile and a purple bag walked in "Would you mind if I sat next to you?" the student asked

"That's no problem at all," Archie replied

Minutes after the teacher arrived "Before we start the textbooks need handing out, any volunteers?" Without delay, the student put their hand up

After the half bell had gone time had come for working out of the textbook. At the start it was easy, I breezed though it then question five came it could not have been more difficult. "Archie, do you know how to do question five?" you asked

"I do not, that was what I was about to ask you,"

"Do you want help with question five?"

"Yeah," both you and Archie reply

"Once you know how to its simple, just treat them like brackets,"

When we knew that the lesson flew by and before we knew it the lesson had ended.

The first term was nearing its end all that was left was the final assembly all the hour of it.

When it finally ended I hurried out and waited at the front gate for Archie.

"Hi, Archie,"

"How is your progress check like?"

"Not too bad, but if it gets worse next term they probably get a tutor for me at the weekend knowing them," You reply "They mean good, they don't want me to fail like my brother did. What is yours like?"

"Probably nearing the best in the tutor group did not get a single level below six,"

As soon as you arrived home you immediately showed your dad your progress check. "Did I do well?" you ask eagerly awaiting the answer

"Not too bad but borderline," your farther replies

Just like the last term, the second one flew by and time had come for progress checks. Immediately you had your progress check to your farther. "If you don't improve next term it will have to be done," your father tells you "I don't want you failing like your brother did, putting your life on hold."

It was the first Sunday of half term and your parents forced you to go shopping with them to sort out general stuff plus needed school stuff. Families crowded the aisles, children following behind them not wanting to have come. After telling your parents where you were going you hurried off to sort out stationary and just as you were getting what you needed you started thinking if you should get help on your weak topics.

If you choose to get help on your weak topics go to chapter 6

If you decide you to not get help on your weak topics go to chapter 7
