Chapter two
I stretched my aching joints.My body was getting me ready for the change.Unlike wolves,weretigers change slowly.First their arm,then the other arm,leg,other leg,ect until you get to your head.That's when you're ready.I drank some more of the coke.Savoring the taste while it lasted.I was going to need to repopulate when I got older.I didn't like the thought but I knew I would have to.... 'You can repopulate with your mate,'Myra snapped.'I can't have a mate!I'm the only tiger shifter left,'I growled back.She whimpered,'S-sorry....Just keep h-hope.' I bit my lip,feeling sorry for yelling at her. 'I'm sorry,'I thought before shutting off. I sighed.The woods were getting dark,but I knee I needed to get to a new town."Hey,girl!!"A voice yelled.Second time today,I tsked.I gasped.It was Norman!How did he follow me this far?"Tyler,come back with me....its getting dark and you don't know whats out here,"He pleaded.Oh honey,I know more than you do,but I reluctantly nodded.He probably thought I was human.We walked back.Then,a twig snapped and we heard a growl.Growl?I've never met any other shifters...and if it came to it,I'd protect the mortal."Stand back,"Norman growled as he stepped forward.Aww look,the weak human trying to be a hero."I smell a kitty cat,"a snarl broke through my thoughts.I hissed at the voice,my ears and tail peaked out with a slight pain.Now,I can heard better and balance more."Shut up,you filthy dog,"Myra hissed.I didn't notice I let her take over.Norman's eyes widened.The man lunged at me,turning into a wolf.I couldn't shift yet so I dashed out of the way,crying out as his claws slashed my tail.Norman growled again and.....shifted.....However,I couldn't see his wolf.The other one was grey.Then,I heard snarling and yelping.I meowed and climbed a tree.My ears and tail tucked in.I'm like a little neko! :) Suddenly,it all stopped."Tyler,"A voice called.Norman?"Yea,"I peered down.He was only wearing shorts."Are you okay,"He asked.I nodded slowly.Then,I blacked out. Shit,he's going to see my leg morph! Was my last thought.
