"Harley." She stilled, dropping the sweater in her hands, frozen in her footsteps as the sound of her name escaped his lips. Ignoring his call, she kept her back to him as she picked up her sweater, guarding him from seeing her tear stained eyes. "Harley," his voice cracked, "please" he whispered, letting all the desperation in him empty in his voice. He took two steps towards her, blocking her between his chest and the drawer in front of her. The hairs on the back of her neck stood as she felt his breath tickle her skin causing nerves to flow throughout her body. “I love you” he said. She furrowed her eyebrows, pouting, as her body boiled, anger filling her from head to toe. “Don’t do that,” she said, turning around to face him, using all her strength to hit and push him away from her. He grabbed her wrists, holding them lightly in his hands as she struggled to wiggle out of his grip. “Don’t” she whimpered, pushing her body into his before giving up her fight to put a distance between them. “Tell me you don’t love me,” he said, staring down at her. Her head snapped up, finally meeting his gaze with her own, “what?” His brown eyes burned into her own brown orbs, “Look me in the eye and tell me you don’t love me” he repeated. She played with the hole in her sweater while she nibbled on the bottom of her lip, using it as an aid to prevent tears from falling. Her head was turned to the side, her gaze focused on the lampshade as a distraction from losing herself in his captivating eyes. “Harley,” he said “tell me and I’m gone.” A shaky sigh left her lips as she turned around, her eyes boring into his. She stared at him, opening her mouth slightly before closing it again. “I can’t,” she whispered, letting the tears fall freely from her eyes.
