Christopher

It's game day.

I've never been more nervous about anything, especially playing the game that I love.

One of my teammates told me to get all the rest I could because this game won't be like high school or college. This is the real deal.

So I decided to just lay in bed and chill until it was time to get ready.

My room door opened and my mom came in with two big ass plates full of breakfast food. I looked over at Sabrina and quickly covered her bare back. Good thing she wasn't lying on her back.

"Ma, you can't knock?" I asked.

"Don't you see these two big plates in my hand."

I took the food from her. "I could've been in here getting some morning loving and you wanna just burst in."

"Hush. Now I have to run to the airport and get your dad. I'll be back soon."

"Alright, be careful."

She kissed my cheek. "I will." Then she left out.

"Man I was just getting ready to sit up." Sabrina said, I didn't even realize that she was woke.

"My mom cooked us breakfast, even though I can't eat half of this."

Sabrina sat up on the edge of the bed and pulled her hair up into a bun. "You can sit my plate down, I have to go freshen up."

I watched as her naked body walked to the bathroom. I know exactly what'll make me feel better today. She finally came back with her robe on and a fresh face. Before grabbing her plate, she grabbed my face and kissed me.

"Good morning basketball star." She said.

"Good morning baby." I kissed her again.

"You ready for your big day?" She took her plate and started eating.

I nodded. "I gotta make sure we win tonight, I got so many people expecting great things from me."

"But don't put too much pressure on yourself Chris. You're going to do great, win or lose."

"I've been practicing with some of my favorite basketball players and it still hasn't hit me yet that not only am I a fan of theirs, I'm their teammate."

"I just can't wait to see you out on that court. You're a rookie and they put you in the starting 5. That's crazy!"

"Thats why I got to do my best tonight."

"You will, trust me."

It got quiet and we both focused back on our food.

"So, I go back to school Tuesday." Sabrina said.

I just looked at her. The last thing I want to do is stop her from getting her degree but her being alone on that campus, I ain't feeling that.

"Chris, I'm going to be okay."

I guess she could tell how I really felt by the look on my face.
