The Clown

Chapter 1

Inanna's POV

"HELPPP! SOMEBODY!" Aubrey started to cry. "Anna, we have to get out of here." She says to me out of breath.

Pause. Ok you're probably wondering what's going on. Well instead of me just telling you what's going on now, I'll start all the way from the beginning.

I was at school in science class...

"Ok class please take notes. Write everything on the board into your notebook." Mr. O said. The whole class, including me, groaned. Nobody ever likes taking notes, obviously.

I looked at the clock after I had finished writing and I realized the bell would ring soon. I started packing up. I looked over at Ivan, my boyfriend, and he was still writing. Just then the bell rang and everybody started leaving.

Science was last period so I ran out and to my locker. After I put away everything, I grabbed my backpack and walked to my bestfriend's locker. "Hey Bre."

"Hey Inanna. Omg I have something to tell you!" Aubrey squealed. I smiled and we walked out of the building. Usually Mason, Aubrey's brother, takes us home so we wait by his car. Ivan runs up to us and kisses my lips softly.

"Mason said I can ride with you guys today." He says with a smile. Ivan's from Spain so sometimes it's a little hard to understand him(no joke if you don't know who Ivan Martinez is well then you must not know what and who team 10 is. He has a twin brother Emilo😍💯 ok back to the story).

Aubrey looked at me confused because she didn't really understand what he said. I shook my head and Mason came out of the school and to the car. "You guys ready?" He asked as he hopped in the car. We all got in as well. I sat in the back with Ivan and Aubrey sat in the front.

As he started leaving I could feel eyes on me. I looked over to see Ivan staring at me. "What?" I giggle. He shook his head and went on his phone.

I stared at him a bit longer and then there was a hard stop. I flew up and my face hit the seat in front of me.

I pulled my face away from the seat and glared at Mason. "WHAT THE FUCK MASON?!" I shouted at him. He turned to me with puppy eyes and shrugged. Aubrey looked at me. "You're not supposed to curse in here remember?" She reminded. Aubrey and Mason are Christians so they don't like when I curse.

Ivan slid over to my seat and hugged me. He wipped my lip and showed me the blood on my lip. "Your lip is bleeding." He said. I grabbed my backpack from the floor of the car. I was only 10 minutes away from my house. I opened the door and got out. I slam the door and start walking. I could hear Aubrey calling my name.

"Inanna. Wait babe." I heard Ivan say. I got to the sidewalk and turned to see Ivan coming to me with his backpack and Mason driving off. "Can I stay at your place tonight? My mom is going back to Spain for the weekend." He informed me. I nod my head and we start walking to my place.

We get to my house. It's Friday so Ivan and I can stay up all night. My mom is working overnight and will get home at 3 and my dad is on a business trip until Sunday. "Ivan what cha wanna do?" I question.

He turns to me then smirks. "Ivan I'm only 15 I can't do that stuff. And you just turned 17 we're not read-" He cut me off.

"Ah. Si, si. No let watch a scary movie." He says with more of an accent. He just started learning english so as I said, he's not that good at speaking it. Ivan moved to Florida 9 months ago. I nod slowly and walk to the couch.

"What movie wabe?" I like to call him wabe because it's cute and unique like him. He glares at me. "What? You don't like the name wabe anymore? Why not?" I question. He gets up and I start to panick. I don't want him to leave me by myself.

"Baby come back. Either you come back or I'm following you." He keeps walking and I follow him upstairs. He stops in front of my bedroom door and turns to me. I look him in the eyes and he starts kissing me. I don't want anything sexual to happen so I push him softly.

"Jump." He whispers. I jump and he catches me. I wrap my legs around him so I won't fall. I hope he doesn't want to try something sneaky. He walks into my room and drops me on my bed. He walked to my tv. "What movie?"

Ok we're good nothing dirty. "Let's watch 13 Reasons Why." He turns on netflix and puts on the show. He sits on the bed with me. I take out my phone and text Aubrey.

Conversation

Me: hey bre what did you want to tell me earlier

Aubrey: oh yea! MICHAEL LIKES MEE

Me: which michael?

Aubrey: michael s.

Me: oh cool

End of Conversation

I look at Ivan and he's half asleep. "Night baby." I say. We lay under the covers and slowly drift to sleep.

I wake up and Ivan is gone. "Ivan." I sing. I get up. I start walking downstairs.

I look down the stairs and here a loud crash. "Babe? What're you doing?" I get not response. "Fuck." I hear a whisper.

"Who said that?" Just then as I'm walking down the stairs Ivan jumps out and screams. I scream and fall to the ground while holding my chest. "Aw I'm sorry. I didn't  want to scare that bad." He says while rubbing my back.

He sits on the ground with me and I lay my head down on his leg.

"Babe? Don't fall asleep on me."

"Why can't I?"

"Because my position is uncomfortable and when your mom comes home she's gonna move us."

"Good point." I hop up and we walk to my room. Then we slowly drift to sleep.

I wake up to the sound of screaming. I run downstairs and see my mom trying to nearly kill Ivan. "MOM STOP! IVAN!" I screamed and ran over to him.

"Mom what the heck happened?" I question while comforting Ivan. "I don't know I just saw a shadow in the kitchen, grabbed a knife and cornered him. I didn't know it was Ivan." She answers defending herself.

"Anna I'm fine." Ivan says getting up. "I'm gonna go home." He adds. I follow him up the stairs. He went to my room and grabbed his phone and put on his shoes. He walked to the corner and grabbed his backpack.

"Love you." He said while giving me a gentle kiss. He walked away and I heard the door close.

Nice job mom.

Aubrey's POV

I wake up and walk out my room. "MASON! DID YOU MAKE PANCAKES?!" I shout. I walk downstairs and into the kitchen.

"Ok bro we'll meet up at 12?" Pause. "Good you better have it looking-" Mason saw me standing there. "Leave." He demanded. So I listened and went to the living room.

I decided to text Inanna.

Me: hey anna wanna hang out today?

Inanna💖: sure where at?

Me: i wanna go to the beach

Inanna💖: ight can my mom pick you up at 11:00?

Me: sure

I went to my room and took a shower. Today will be fun. And I wonder who Mason was talking to? None of my business though.
