Hitoshi saw my face light up as soon as I walked into the dim lit classroom. "I haven't seen you look like that for months" Hitoshi said happily. "Well ever since Kaneki left I've felt like I've had no one. But then I met you" the words left my mouth smoothly and Hitoshi's face filled with glee. But Hitoshi wasn't a ghoul and he would never satisfy my needs as much as Kaneki.
"Okay, so after school tomorrow I'll meet you here so we can do the experiment. I'll do the practical and you take down the data" he said. "Sure. But please stop sounding like a scientist" we both laughed. There was something mysterious about Hitoshi, I couldn't tell what it was, but I felt like there was more to him than being amazing at chemistry. I could read his face like an open book, there were days when his face looked like it had been plunged into a pool of sadness. Unfortunately, it was hard to get Hitoshi to talk about his life, he always wanted to know about your life. He was always so fascinated by my adventures with Kaneki, but I guess he would never really understand what it meant to be a ghoul.
As a ghoul, death was a recurring thing that was inevitable to happen. Sometimes I wished that I could just be human, no one hunting me or my family down and being able to taste amazing food. Life would just be so much easier.
Yuriko ran towards me, panting like she had ran a mile. "TOUKA! ITS KANEKI! HES ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD OUTSIDE SCHOOL, THERE IS BLOOD EVERYWHERE! HELP, PLEASE, HE COULD BE DYING." .........
