I woke up to my alarm , to get ready to go to school. I haven't said much about that , actually. I'm in college (well, a university.), my second year at Universidad Nueva Esparta. I have big plans to become a business owner. Preferably of a bar , or a club , because of how popular they are.
Grabbing my heavy bookbag , I grabbed my keys and drove to the school. Someone I've seen around the university before , came up to me. I smiled "Ana" he said. I greeted him, "Valentin" he half smiled. "There's a big get-together party type thing up the street tonight around 9 , it should be fun , you should come." He said. I pulled my book bag out of the passenger seat. "I don't know if I can." I patted my bookbag. "You know how homework, and studies are in this place , I'll definitely try though." He looked disappointed. "Okay , I hope to see you there." He walked off. I didn't have homework today , in fact. And it's not that he wasn't attractive , because he was very attractive. Its just that I wasn't used to going out all that often , and there was a lot on my mind at the time , but somehow , I urged myself to pull on a dress and actually consider going.
I stood at the mirror in a tight-ish blue dress with a slit at the top to show off collar bones and slits in the top of the sleeves to show off shoulders. It went down to above my knees. I didn't bother to wear much makeup , I put a bit of eyeliner on , pulled my hair back , and slipped on grey stilettos. I had started to get a headache on the way out. I had a purse which contained my phone , $30 and my eyeliner, for touch-ups. When I arrived at the party , I was greeted by Valentin. "Finish that homework?" he had a sly look on his face mixed with a smile. I laughed generically. "I guess you could say that." The volume of the current song increased and people all around started dancing.Valentin and I danced , making only swift movements in front of each other as we got closer. He took my hand and we moved to the music. I could feel my hairtie sliding out of my hair as I danced. I didn't care , I let my hair down. The way our bodies moved together created art, we communicated while saying nothing. I looked him up and down , and smiled. I was so lost in the moment that all of the negative feelings I had disappeared.
