Sydney Jones, a new kid at Waterloo High School. The first bell rang so she headed to her first class. As everyone entered the class, Sydney gazed around the room in search for an empty seat. There weren't any empty seats so Sydney just sat in the corner next to a girl whose head was facing down. The girl had long, curly, brown hair. Sydney didn't realize the girl until she lifted her head. It was Ayumi Joseph. Sydney's best friend since birth. Sydney got excited and screamed with joy and started talking to her as they haven't seen each other for 3 years.

"Miss Jones!" Their English teacher yelled. "Sydney, I know this is your first day but please, no talking in my class. Okay?" Said the teacher with a stressed look on her face.

"Sorry Miss.. Uh..." Sydney replied.

"Oh sorry, I'm Miss Paynter, your English teacher" The teacher completed.

Lunch time had finally arrived and Sydney and Ayumi ate at a table by themselves. But that didn't bother them. As the two girls talked, Ayumi realized that Sydney had been staring over at the jock table a lot.

"Sydney, what's wrong.. Is there a problem with one of the jocks? Are they bullying you? Cause I wi-" Ayumi was cut off by Sydney stating "NO! I mean.. No its ok"

Ayumi gave Sydney a look that Sydney was not comfortable with.

"How about you come to my house later and we'll talk" Commented Ayumi.

"Sure! How about 4:30?"

"Okay but my parents aren't gonna be home so we'll be home alone.."

"Ok just give me your number though."

Sydney pulled her phone out and saved the shorter girls number.
