Elegy to Marilyn Monroe

Darling, darling,

So beautiful it was alarming,

She turned mad,

With a life so sad,

Love is what she wanted,

What she got was haunted,

The flashing lights were everywhere,

After the click,

There was nothing to spare,

No privacy,

That was probably the irony,

Her old heart,

In a messed up world,

Made life seem like the underworld,

So she left,

Very distressed,

Because there was nothing else to be addressed.
