This is just great... It's a huge house with just me. The crimes and attacks that happened ⸺often nearby here⸺made it a little frightening in a house all alone. "Oh, it's getting dark" I say aloud. Faintly I hear an echo in the background. I turn around, startled by the noise. In front of me stood a figure of white in the hallway. It didn't seem to have any facial features except for pitch black eyes. But suddenly it sneered and disappeared. Quickly I turn away telling myself. Karissa, you're just seeing things. It's just your imagination playing tricks on you, there's nothing in this house other than you. She looked again and the figure was gone. "See! Just your imagination." But quickly I found out that I was going to be wrong. As I walked back to my room I felt something standing behind me. I took a deep breath and turned around. It wasn't the 'monster' from before but instead it was a magnificent boy. The boy had red hair with black streaks and blazing yellow eyes. Suddenly i noticed that he was only inches away from me our noses nearly touching. I jumped back in alarm, almost tripping over my own feet. "W-w-who are you?!! What are you doing in my house?!! Actually, how did you get in?!! Wha-"

He quickly put his hand to my mouth shushing me from interrogating him any further, and glanced around, seeming as if he was looking for other people in the house. Quickly he pushed me into my room and closed the door behind him. Taking one last glance through the hallways he sighs and released his hand from my face. Right when he released his hand I drew my hand back and slapped him, hard. "OW! Why did you do that?!!" He cried.

"Who are you first?!!" I exclaim.

"Lucius Orthon, but you can just call me Lucius." He said holding his cheek.

"Lucius, seriously? Like the demon god thingie, Lucius?" I replied incredulously.

"Yep! just like the demon Lucius." the boy replied with a small smirk. I see Lucius take one long look at me and he notices that my hand is trembling. "Hey are you ok?" He asks reaching for my hand. Before he did, I yanked it back so quickly I hit it against a nearby vase. I watched as it toppled to the floor and waited for the inevitable crash. But it never came. Instead I turned and saw Lucius carrying the vase. I blinked twice because I remembered seeing him in front of me a second ago. Now he was behind me. He exhaled a short breath in relief." Whew! That was close. Ashton would have killed me if I broke anything"

"H-how did you move so fast?" I asked with my eyes wide.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, how could you have possibly moved in time to catch the vase. That's insanely impossible. I saw you in front of me a second before it dropped and now you're here."

Lucius narrowed his eyes at me. "I think you've seen enough for today. It's time for bed." With those words, he reached out his hand and tapped me on the forehead. Almost instantly, I fell forward into his arms, asleep.

. . .

I woke with a start to the sound of birds chirping. The bed I was in was so warm and comfortable that I almost went back to sleep. But suddenly, with no trigger at all, the memories of the night before came flooding in. I bolted upright again as I recalled the series of events I had with the mysterious boy name Lucius. As I puzzled over whether it was all a dream or a reality my stomach made a very impolite noise. I looked around the room searching for a clock but instead stumbled upon a mirror. I looked at myself in the mirror. I had a mess of auburn hair this morning I noticed but I ignored it, too tired to deal with it right now. Intensely I gazed at my own eyes searching for what colors they were today. It seems that they have decided to be a reddish magenta and a tinge of purple. Showing the excitement of last night and memories of violently red hair. I put on my hazel contacts quickly, I'll be in trouble if anyone sees my eyes. I have to be more careful. Remembering my original purpose for getting up I decided to leave my room to go to the kitchen. I walked in the room and immediately noticed the smell. "Pancakes?" A neat stack of fluffy pancakes were situated on a plate. I looked around, but saw no one. I sat down at the dining table and just stared at the pancakes, not knowing whether I should eat them or not. Just then, I heard the sound of a door being opened. It wasn't the kitchen door, it was a different door, the refrigerator door. I turned and found the door ajar with nobody standing in front of it. "What. The. Actual. Hell. Is going on?"
