Her startoff is 1:1 like Ryou till the first date. But after that, after doing things like saying that Tomoya prefers long hair over short, buying the wrong pendant, and accepting Kyou´s invitation for a "kiss-training" (of course they didn´t really kiss), the events making a turn after his second date with Ryou.
Rumors spread that Tomoya two-timed Ryou with her sister, since one of their classmates saw him from afar with Kyou when they were doing the "fake kiss training". Surprisingly, Ryou says nothing about those rumors. When Sunohara asks him what he really feels for Ryou anyway, Tomoya can´t answer.
Later, he becomes spectator by coincidence how Kyou asks Sunohara to become her boyfriend. Surprisingly, Sunohara refuses, since he knows that Kyou fell in love with Tomoya since a long time ago. Kyou noticed that he is watching everything and runs away. Sunohara tells him then a theory; that Kyou wanted Sunohara as boyfriend so she can still be near Tomoya. Tomoya himself is confronted with his feelings once again....
He more and more understands himself that he never really was in love with Ryou, but she starts to get bolder from day to day. One day, she is fortune-telling about Tomoya and herself with the tarot-cards she got from him, with a mysterious prediction.
On a rainy day, Tomoya notices that Botan is running around at the courtyard and goes out; and finds Kyou standing in the rain, confronted with her own feelings. She allready was in love with Tomoya when her sister told her that she likes him, too. Since Kyou didn´t want to be in the way of her sister, she tried to help her, even though she knew she betrayed herself. Tomoya finally hugs her in the rain, concluding for himself which girl he really loves. Still, Kyou says that she won´t forgive him if he would hurt her sister.
But of course, another problem started there, since he had to break up with Ryou who still loves him. When he finally gathers the courage to tell her, she stops him in the middle of his sentence and runs away with the words that she won´t lose to her sister. He starts to realize that Ryou started to get a bit bolder to be more like her older sister since she realized that Tomoya started to distance himself.
He starts to review the last fortune-telling that Ryou made and realized how every bit of it was true this time.
At the sunset of the next day, Tomoya finally faces Ryou at the school gate and tells her his true feelings. He falls in a little shock when she jumps at him and kisses him.... until he notices that it´s KYOU who cutted her hair short, to trick him into confessing.
A bit later, he finally has his words with Ryou who don´t want him to apologize, since she really had fun with him.
Soon after, he goes to school with Kyou (hairs still short, but it looks cute imo...). He tells her that she should grow her hair again while she´s clinging on his arm^^
