Poppy tried to pull the door off of it's hook. But the more she tried, the more she knew she wasn't getting anywhere with it.
She sighed, and collapsed to the floor.
"Why is he doing this to me?" she asked herself, and sighed once more. "Doesn't he love me? I love him. I love him more than anything...."
But she then stopped herself. She rolled her eyes.
"Oh, stop it! Shut up, Poppy!! You don't deserve him! He deserves someone better than you!"
She then slapped herself.
Why have I been so stupid? Why did I make this huge mistake?! she asked herself.
You're not stupid. You're the queen. You're nice. If Branch can't see that then he doesn't deserve you, another part of her said.
She banged her head against the door.
Life is so confusing.
And then someone knocked.
