She waits, seething, blooming, waiting for something to happen. She cuts her nails on butter knives and sharpens her teeth on broken glass. She is deadly. She is grace. And yet, with all the power in the world, she is alone. She is withering under the ultimatum of being broken and alone. Then he came. His teeth weren't broken, in fact they glowed and where perfectly straight. His smile radiates like the sun giving her the light she so desperately needs. Gasp. She inhales him and he inhales her. They soon become one. Together, beautiful and bright, so alike and so different. Where she is deadly he is gentle. Where she is grace, he is chaos. The world wasn't ready for the broken flower girl with the too big heart, and the boy with broken sparrow wings clutched to his chest an arrow through his ribs. No one was expecting them to get together. So the world waits, breath baited at the edge of its seat dagger nails suck so deep into the two so it could rip them apart. The girl cried, the boy lied. And everything seemed to stand still. Then, the girl smiled, her broken teeth like razor blades glittering in the night, and offered her hand again ready to take him into her arms, the only words they breathed as they embraced was this.
Love.
