My eyes shot open, I took a long gasp of air and threw my hands behind my back as I sat up. My neck and head ached, and I could see cuts and bruises on my arms, and large stains and rips in my clothes. I took a long look around, trying to remember everything that had happened before I had ended up in this tall cornfield. There was an indent in the crops where I had flattened them down by laying there recently. I patted myself down to make sure nothing major had happened to my body in the tornado before I attempted to stand up. My legs immediately gave out, numb and sore. I shifted them, falling face first into the dirt. There was an aching pain spreading from my left foot, trailing up into my calf. I used my other leg to help me crawl as i started to make my way through the cornfield and onto the other end, hopefully encountering someone that could help along the way.I grimaced in pain, using my hands to drag my limp body across the field, crawling and screaming for help.
I kept dragging myself to the sound of cars speeding by as i got closer to a major roadway. After what seemed like hours of crawling, I reached the edge of the field. There was a thick fence made of barbed wire between me and the busy roadway, also separated by a small ditch. I sighed, getting as flat as possible on the ground and doing my best to shimmy underneath the fence. My stomach dropped as i fell into the deep ditch, landing on my shoulder in the crackling dried dirt. I used an arm to pull myself up onto the asphalt, but wasn't able to. I leaned my body against the side of the ditch, sticking my arm high in the air and waving it for drivers to see me. Dozens of vehicles passed, until finally i heard the engine of an old car stop, parking beside the area where i was on the asphalt. I let out a sigh of relief, my throat parched with thirst.
" Sammy!" I heard someone yell. My eyes were starting to glaze over, my vision foggy. I screamed in pain as i felt somebody pull me onto the asphalt, dragging my left leg along the side of the ditch. The man pulling me immediately stopped, dropping my arms onto the ground and backing up. I cringed in pain, hearing another person slam the door of the car nearby shut.
" Dean? What are you doing?"
" I'm seeing if shes okay, obviously she isn't!"
" And you decide to find out whether or not shes injured by dragging her along asphalt?"
The man who pulled me up backed away, i heard him run back to his car, crunching rocks and gravel along the way. Another set of arms lifted me up, carrying me as my head fell back, my body limp. I was placed in a small blanket, cold as the man slid my body into a leather seat. I layed down, my eyes slowly shutting as i felt a bright flash in my eyes. I blinked hard, moaning as I tried to roll over.
" She's definitely conscious, but we need to get her to the hospital."
" I don't think so, i don't need blood stains on the back on the impala."
I squinted, only able to see the person leaning above me stand, closing the door near my injured foot and switching to the front seat. I heard 2 doors slam, each shaking me as they closed. The long haired one turned around, introducing himself while the other put the impala in drive.
" My name's Sam, and this is Dean. We're going to take you to a.." He stuttered, looking at Dean nervously.
" A doctor. We're taking you to a doctor." Dean said, turning his head back to look at me and smiling. He nodded a little, trying to control my breathing as the road got a little bumpy. Sam heard that my breaths was choppy and short. He got worried, and turned his head to dean. Beads of sweat ran down my forehead as dean jerked the car to a stop at a yellow light.
" Cas is hours away, we cant just leave her back there for that long, Dean."
" What do you want me to do then, hmm?" He replied, a little irritated. Sam gave him a stare, as if to convince him to do something. Dean sighed, pulling the car over on the dirt once more. He stepped out of the drivers seat, walking in front of the impala and lifting his head to the sky, speaking to someone. Sam turned back to look at me, smirking.
