Chapter 4: Secrets

Michael pulled up to the Life Invader building and parked in a parking spot. We both got out and I started walking up to the doors until Michael grabbed my arm.

"What?" I said looking over at him

"Hold on princess let's wait till someone comes out" He says and pulls me over to the side

"What are we suppose to do whi-

I'm cut off by Michael pulling me into his chest and kissing me deeply. I wrap my arms around his neck as he grips my waist. I heard the door open and I pull away biting my lip as I see a male with brown curly hair wearing a green shirt along with some blue shorts walk out.

"Hey you lovely couple got a lighter?" He asks pulling out a cigarette

I held back the urge to blush at that as I grabbed my lighter out of my pocket. I handed it to him and he took it.

"Thanks...Pm's pushing for more functionality but we are maxed. If anything we have to strip features especially if we're planning on releasing a price update a year later" He says as he leans against the wall next to us

Micheal pulled out a cigarette and I move away from them. I hear them talk for a little while longer until the guy walks over opening the door. I walk over noticing they put out their cigarettes.

Michael held the door open for me as I walked inside and followed them looking around.

"This guy is a programmer" Michael whispered to me as we followed him

"What does he want you to do?" I whisper back as we walk through this door

We head up a few stairs and than we finally make it to a room filled with people on a bunch of computers. We stopped at the programmer guy's computer and the first thing I noticed was the porn pop ups. Michael sat down at his computer and I noticed him clearing his hard drive.

I walked off to the side and pulled my phone out. When I checked it I noticed I got a text message from my best friend. I sighed and opened it.

"He's looking for him" She says and I grip my phone tightly

He can't find him! He can't possible know where he is if so it'll just be a matter of time...

"Yes they are" I heard Michael's voice from behind me snapping me out of my thoughts

I quickly slid my phone into my pocket as he placed his arm around my shoulder.

"I'm about to rig the prototype you alright?" He whispers in my ear and looks at me

"Y-Yeah...I'll be look out go ahead" I say smiling as he kissed my forehead and walked off

I pulled my phone out again and texted my friend back.

"Have you seen him? Where's Cyrus?" I sent it and put my phone away just as Michael came back

"Alright you ready to go princess?" He asked wrapping his arm around my waist

"Yeah let's go" I say as we headed out the building

When we got in the car I buckled up and I didn't speak. Michael started up the car and I felt his eyes on me.

"What's wrong? You're mood has changed ever since you been on your phone" He says and I look over at him surprised as he drives off

"...It's nothing I-

"Bullshit...don't you dare lie to me beautiful. I can tell it's something troubling you" He says causing me to sigh

"For now just take me home...please" I say and he turns back in the direction of my house
