Andrew's P.O.V

Mate

Thats the first thing that ran through my head as soon as I saw her eyes. A beautiful green, bright, and endearing color. I knew there was a reason behind the madness overpowering my mind only with her.

Andrew McKnight sat in a beautiful wooden rocking chair across from his bed. Where the sleeping beauty now lies her hair spread over his pillow she looked serene. He just watched her. The pack doctor -Jim- had came in along with the nurse he had called earlier. Desiree had seemed to be freaking out, but it was really just her wolf trying to get out he knew what she was talking about his wolf was saying it too. The word mate. It was put on repeat but he acknowledged that so his wolf was put in some sort of contentment; being near her did that also. When the doc came in he was just placing her under the covers of the hospital bed she had been in before she grew hysteric and fainted in his arms.
The doc had checked her out she seemed to be alright the iv was finally out of her arm and she was given a cat scan on the brain. He knew she was a wolf but it seemed she hadn't known the way she talked to him. That thought made him chuckle nobody had ever talked to him like that he was the king after all. Results from the cat scan showed no damage so she must have temporary amnesia -doc said- but he did not know how long it would last and there was no way to find out either. She has only been out for three hours tossing and turning about here and there but then going back to her peaceful state.

He had been next to his mate the entire time relishing in the view, enjoying the smell of her, and thinking thoroughly.  He was happy... extremely happy. He had been looking for his mate since he turned 18 always going to balls and gatherings from around the country. Visiting other countries and their packs as well. And when he wasn't looking he stumbled right upon the one destined to be his. But the way he had found her left him flabbergasted. He had been researching on his own in the great castles library... his library, and he could find no sort of information on what happened, and he was all sorts of frustrated!

He would just have to ask her.

Knock' knock'

"Come in"

"How is she sweetheart?"
He should have known it was his mother.

"She's just fine. Still sleeping is all. When she comes to I want to speak with her myself and then I'll bring her down to meet you all, but of course only if she feels comfortable enough to."

"Well alright... would you stop scowling you should be rejoicing!"

His mother was of the happy sorts always smiling, he loved that about her.
She was short, and tan. A little on the chunky side with long blonde hair and big bright blue eyes. She was his hero, how could she not be? She was a human who endured the mating process and still stood mighty even though she was around Lycans. When she ruled by my fathers side she did it amazingly and everyone loved her.

"I know mother I was just thinking."

As I said this she started stirring, snapping my head towards her my wolf became alert. And I now realized the sweat beading her forehead her hair dampened by the amount of sweat. It made me worried and aroused at the same time. Just thinking about her laid out before me panting...sweating...calling my name... unfortunately that wasn't the case. Her breathing had gotten heavier also and she wasn't just stirring about she was thrashing.
I couldn't have reacted quick enough, standing to my feet going near her yelling out orders to my mom to leave and get the doctor immediately! Not knowing what was going on I tried pinning her down in fear she would hurt herself before my mom got a chance to return she stopped breathing only for a second. Still a second too long I almost did mouth to mouth resuscitation, wouldn't mind it a bit either, but instead I was looming over her and checking her vitals seeming as that's the only thing I knew how to do in this situation. And suddenly she was springing forward gasping still sweating, maybe a little feverish. Her eyes a multitudinous swarm of emotion, opened wide as she muttered over and over;

"I remember... I remember... I remember..."

Tears staining her cheeks as she muttered one more time,

"I remember too much!"

Still not aware of her surroundings only what was going on in her head. Desiree had put her head in her hands for a second slowly composing herself. Only to look up at me a moment later realizing who I exactly was and what I meant to her. All at the same time my mother came rushing in, father right behind her, and doc a few seconds behind them all crashing into one another.

How I wish I could figure out what was going on inside her head she looked scared, dumbfounded, baffled maybe. I'm not sure I couldn't tell which emotion was which because there were so many.

"Is she all right your grace?"

"Yes doc she is, just a nightmare I think."

"Thank the heavens!"

My mother said this as she was leaning down near Desiree to see if she was alright.
Desiree didn't answer though and I ordered everyone out of the room she needs some space it seems.

She looked relieved as everyone retreated out of the room, almost putting a smile on my face I was glad that helped.

"Are you alright Desiree?"

My voice seemed to have made her shiver. I smirked. Now I know I have an affect on her. But that is not what matters right now. Being so lost in my thoughts I almost missed her response.

"Yes I... I'm alri..ght."

She stuttered still a bit shaken up it seems.

"Are you positively sure you're alright?"

"Of course."

"Are you lying Desiree?"

"Of course."
