When He Comes Home

Telling Him

My heart races as I look at each of the test. All 5 are positive.

I sit on the floor so many thoughts running through my head. I'm scared how I'm going to tell Alex.

Remembering that it's Sunday and you would be calling sometime today. As I was mid thought my phone starts to ring. I see your name and smile slightly. Noticing that it's a video call I smile even more. I haven't seen him in forever thinking to myself.

I answer the call

A: Hey princess
B:Hey..
A: How was your week?
B:Good.. How was yours?
A: It was okay... I miss you
B: I miss you too.... do you know when you're coming home?
A: Few months babe... December 23..

I take a deep breath.

B: I need to tell you something...
A: what is it?.... Are you Okay?
B: Im.... I'm pregnant...

The look on his face is priceless. He's smiling and a few tears escape his eyes..

A: I can't believe it... How far along are you??
B: almost 2 months... I think... is there anyway you can come home early?..
A: I'll try if not I will be home before you have our child..
B: Okay... I love you Alex
A: I love you brilynn and our baby.

We talk for a bit more then he has to go. I hate saying good bye to him.

After we get done talking I call my doctors office making my appointment.

I finally eat my soup. I watch TV. Smiling happily rubbing my not yet non-exiting baby bump.
