Taehyung's POV

I let out a big sigh as I zipped my travel bag. I stared at my things that I just finished packing, feeling both excitement and worry. This is it, I'm going to the city.

The image of Seoul's beauty that I have always admired on TV and magazines popped up in my head. I'll be seeing the huge skyscrapers there, I will be riding cable cars and play a lot of arcade games! That would totally be fun. A huge smile appeared on my face with the thought.

"Are you finished packing already?"

I turned around to the sight of my grandmother, whom I love the most, leaning on the door with her cane. She's looking at me with her eyes filled with both happiness, worry, and loneliness. I think she already misses me and I haven't even left yet.

"Yeah, I just did," I answered. I stood up from sitting on the wooden floor and walked towards her.

"You packed really fast. You must be very excited to go to Seoul," she chuckled.

"I really am! I am more than excited," I answered as I held her hand, assisting her while she walks towards the stool.

She sat down and looked up to me. "Are you worried?" she asked, as if she saw right through me.

I sat down the stool next to her. "Well, yeah. A little."

"I know you are," grandma tightened her grip on my hand. "But you're a kind and smart boy, there's nothing to be worried about. You can adjust well. You're kind-hearted, the people there will like you just fine. I am letting you go to the city because I trust you. If I don't, you wouldn't even have a chance to get that travel bag out of the cabinet."

A soft chuckle escaped my lips. "I know, I know," I replied. "But I'm also worried about you. Will you be okay here?"

I shrieked when she violently struck my leg with her cane. "Ouch! What was that for?!" I complained, rubbing my palm against my leg.

"I got annoyed. You sounded like you were underestimating your old woman," she replied. "Don't worry about me. I may be old but I'm not weak. And I have your cousins here with me."

I laid my head on her shoulder as I wrapped my arm around her. "Aish.. I wasn't underestimating you. I'm worried because you might whoop the village kids' asses and get arrested."

She laughed as she returned the hug. "Hell yeah. I might do just that. Your cousins will have to bail me out of jail if I catch those bastards playing at the farm again," she said with confidence.

"Damn. My grandma is such a badass."

We had a short laughing session together after that, which I'm sure I will be longing for when I go to the city. I kissed the side of her forehead. "I love you, grandma."

"I love you, too." She removed my arm wrapped around her. "You should go say goodbye to your cousins, and your chickens. They're going to miss you."

After a few hours of waiting, the train to Seoul finally arrived. I stood right before the yellow line and waited for the doors to open together with the other passengers.
