Chapter 1: The Fallen Princess ~

"Quick! My Queen in here!" My servant Captain Luke said, as he held onto my hand leading me into a familiar room. I panted softly "Why aren't you fighting Luke? My mother ordered you to fight, not to protect me" I said sternly entering the room.

Luke locked the door, before looking back at me with a smile "But I must protect you Your Highness, otherwise we will lose our greatest Queen this place has. I'd rather fight dying, then know I didn't protect you as your mother wanted me to do." He said holding such a stupid smile on his face. I sighed and shook my head "Idiot. I'm no Queen yet," I started, as he walked up to me. He kissed my forehead and pulled away. "But your one to me, always and forever my Queen." He said finishing my sentence, before I could. I smiled "I suppose your right," I said.

The sound of loud pounding was at the door of my foster mother's throne room, as my enemy got closer and closer. I frowned softly still holding onto my previous wound from the hallway fight, moments before I came here. I stepped onto my new throne "Luke fight with me," I said taking hold of a sword nearby the wall, next to my chair. Luke watched me with a risen brow "What? Forgive my objection, but your in no condition to fight Your Highness. Your wound is still fresh," He said.

I sighed heavily "Nevermind that, we must be able to put up a fight. I may not be Queen yet, but I wasn't made to just sit in this throne and have people fight for me. I want to fight too," I said tossing him a sword. Luke caught the sword and smiled softly "You are very stubborn woman aren't you," He teased me, now standing beside me as we waited for our greatest enemy yet.

Suddenly the double doors were ripped off of it's hinges and knocked across the room, before a black booted foot stepped inside. Me and Luke's eyes both widen in surprise as we looked upon our enemies. "They made it past the guards." I whispered softly. Clearly we both were just as shocked and almost petrified to see these men in over 100 years, heck we couldn't even move.

The group of royal vampires hissed at me and Luke. The Captain of the group and once a great friend of mine, looked at me and smirked "Well well well, if it isn't little miss soon-to-be Queen. I'll take much pleasure in killing you slowly, just as I've done your mother." He said throwing down one of the guards, he held in the viscous grip of his hands. I growled "How dare you speak ill of my mother!" I shouted. He chuckled and advanced towards me, but Luke stepped in his way "If you want her, you'll have to get through me! I won't let you hurt her." He said challenging him, before he glanced at me "Run Your Highness, get out of here!!" He said. I frowned softly "No, I'm not leaving you Luke. I'm fighting with you," I objected. Luke frowned "Shut up and go now!!" He roared at me. I simply nodded dropping my sword, before I ran out the back exit behind my throne.

Behind my throne was the underground chambers, where my fellow comrades and me would take shelter if our castle was under attack such as this one.

The stone walls surrounded me, as I ran faster to where I was going while Luke fought my battles for me above. I hated that I had to leave him to fight alone, but he was right; he had to do something to keep me safe. "You stupid fool," I whispered to myself, as I shook my head softly. I winced as my wound on my side stung me. To honest I had almost forgotten about it, to say the least. The sound of battle-cries is what I heard as I roamed these dark cold chambers alone. I wanted to run back up and help, but I was left with little choice. Soon the man I feared the most would be here to kill me and I had to face him, but I wasn't going down without a fight.
