(Frisk's POV)

What is this feeling I have? There's a tenseness in my heart. It can't be regret can it.

"Chara! Come out I want to talk."

"What's up Frisk."

"Chara, are we doing the right thing? I mean after I killed the shorter skeleton, that girl was crushed."

"Don't mind her she's just an obstacle in our way. Do not worry. We have three more to go, just keep moving.

"Fine." How come he's not worried. It's like he knew this would happen.

(Your POV)

Damn kid. You felt your eyes tear up again. She'll pay for what she did to Sans and Papyrus. She took everything from me. Oh, Gaster I wish you were here. I could really use your guidance right now. You sigh.

"Sans...I'm sorry. The day Gaster disappeared, I made a vow to protect you and Papyrus. But I couldn't even protect myself and now your gone, be...because of me."

"Wow, so tearful. I almost cried."

You looked at the child your eyes turned red. "Frisk."

"Y/n. You know I would fight you but I have people to see before I fight you. And you know how much I hate to leave people waiting."

"Why are you doing this Frisk?"

"I want to be free. You would of kept me down here with you trapped."

"We would've helped you get out but you chose the wrong path and now I have no choice but to stop you Frisk."

"Well, you'll have to wait. Goodbye. Y/n."

She tries to run past you but you teleport in front of her. "Did you think you were going to get past me that easily." You pick her up in a red aura and throw her against a wall. Wow that was a little more power than I thought.

"What how? How do you have that smiley-trash bag's power?"

"Chara! What are you doing here?"

"Don't worry Frisk I know what I'm doing." He turns and looks at you. "Now answer my question Y/n."

You look at him. What can I do? I have no choice. I have to let them through. "I guess you'll have to find out later Chara." You teleport to your house. Dammit!

(Sans POV) (In the Void)

Where am I? I'm sure I died but nothing feels different. I open my eyes. I'm in the void but how. Wait dad should be here. "Dad! Dad are you here it's me Sans." I saw Gaster turn towards me.

"Sans! How did you get here, where's Papyrus and Y/n?"

"I don't know where Y/n is and Pap...Pap...Pap is gone."

"What!? How?"

"I was too late Dad I could of saved him but I was too late. And Y/n I saved her but it cost me my life. A life I could of spent with her.

"Sans. Your not dead."

I looked at confused. "What, how am I not dead."

"Your soul never shattered, it's still beating."

It must of been when I combined our souls. I just thought I was combining our powers. "Dad. Is there a way for me too go back.

"Yes but only for a little bit. You will have to get your soul back or at least half of it. Once you get half of your soul you will be made caporial."

"So your saying that I'll be a ghost until I get my soul."

"Yes."

"How do I get back?"

"You'll need to teleport to the place you died at."

"Ok. Thank you Dad." I turned to leave. "Dad is there anyway for you to get back?"

"No not at the present time. But I promise I will find a way back to you guys."

"Alright Dad. I'll be seein ya." I closed my eyes and thought about Mettaton's studio and teleported. When I opened them I was there. I'm coming Y/n.

(Your POV) (Your house)

You just woke up from a nap to find Sans looking at you. "Hey Sans." Wait Sans. "The hell I thought you died."

"Well I did and I didn't does that make sense."

"No."

"Well you know how I combined our souls. That kept me alive."

"Ok...but you know that you a ghost right. I mean I can literally see through you."

"I guess you could say I'm goin through a phase." You laugh. "But seriously that's the issue. The only way I can be alive again is for you to give me half of our combined souls."

"Oh why didn't you say that before." You summon your soul, break it in half and put half of it in Sans's chest. He glows for a second and then collapses on the floor, alive. "Sans it's really you." You run over to him and hug him.

"Ow, ow. Ya know dying hurts." You laugh again. Tears started to roll down your cheeks. He reaches and wipes them away. "Now don't cry. I'm here now." You kiss him on the cheekbone.

"I love you Sans."

"I love ya too Little Bat." You giggle at the nickname. "Now we have a kid to stop don't we."

"Yeah let's go." You teleport the two of you to the judgement hall where Frisk was waiting for you. She gave you a surprised look.

"What!? How is he alive? I killed him."

"Hey kiddo. Did ever think that I would die before you were stopped."

"Yeah, I did actually I saw you start to turn to dust." She pointed at you. "She held you in her arms as you died. I saw her tears."

"Do you remember when I threw you earlier."

"Yeah."

"Sans combined our souls, that kept him alive so he could come back..."

"That's impossible!"

"...I broke the soul in half and gave it to him making him alive again and being combined with a vampire soul he'll be a lot harder to kill." You bare your fangs." Let's go kid." Sans did what you did and bared his fangs.

"Oh yeah. Come at me kiddo." His eye was glowing blue while yours was glowing red. Sans looks at you. He smiles, "Ready."

You smile at him. "Yeah, ready." The two you ran at Frisk, you were happier than you've ever been. You were ready to save this timeline. I will bring everyone back. For the first time you were filled with...Determination.
