Sometimes I think her life is a movie, crystal. You'll see why I say that soon enough.
"pst" I said as i passed crystal a note responding to what she said. She didn't have a phone because well.. I'm pretty sure either her or her mom broke it. Anyway, i was passing notes with her in ELA talking about well random stuff. We both kind of started to open up to each other which was good. It was a fine start to a blossoming new friendship.
The bell rang as we all packed up our books and waited for the teacher to call rows to go out of the classroom. Crystal asked me if i had a number so that we could call later and talk more. I gave it to her and continued up the rotten egg smelling stairs to my last AND least class of the day. If you're wondering why I said it smelled like rotten egg it's because it did.. Literally. The day before some dumb kid through a stink bomb. Oh and did i mention there was 3 old cartons of spoiled milk? Oops almost forgot.
As I headed to my bus the next morning I got a notification, it was Crystal. She said she needed help. At first I was completely confused until she told me why.
Crystal- Hey... It's Crystal, text back when you can I need help.
Me- Hey, with what? Homework??
Crystal- well.. not quite. Something different. Completely different.
Me- Okay....
Crystal- So you see, my "mom" kinda punched me in the gut and it's really hard to breath
Me- WHAT?!?!
Crystal told me how she was adopted from Russia the other day when we were passing notes. She said she hated the woman who adopted her... she never told why though. Until now.
Crystal- Yeah...
At this point I was still confused but now at what i could do. I mean some people just go through a phase saying that they hate everyone and everything, but this.. this was well. Interesting. She told me more about how her mom abused her along with her sister. One time I was on the phone with her and she was telling me how her "mom" told her to go kill herself and then I heard over the phone her sister scream at her. Then the phone hung up. It's confusing now. A lot more than before. I now personally met her mom.. Honestly she's a nice lady despite what Crystal has said about her. I've started to wonder if what she's been saying is actually true.
