"So," Jieun said to me while taking a sip from her coffee. "I rested, I ate and you said you will tell me everything once I did, spill. What... Are they?"

"I'm assuming you saw their wings."

"Well the shadow of it. Are they some kind of angel or something?"

I simply huffed at her comment and tried to shut out my rushing thought.

"You can say that." I hesitated before continuing. "Listen, apologies for put through you all this, and apologies I didn't stop it before it got out of hand." I said giving her an apologetic look, she turned around to face out the window of the café that was elapsed with the smell of coffee and waffles.

"Did you know all this was going to happen? To me?" She questioned and I slowly nodded feeling shame and guilt. Why was I?

There was a silence for a while, which was starting to disturb me and I had to break it, I tried reaching out for her hand first but she had quickly pulled it away before I could do so.

"I'm..." She started. After a while she continued. "I'm dissappointed. Why did you let all this happen, and why were parents like that? Whah-" she said but she couldn't complete her sentence. I knew she had a million questions going through her head, I could feel it, I could almost hear them like little whispers; she couldn't find a way to bring them to words. She just turned back to the window and stared out to the unfamiliar streets, that awkward silence was back once more. But after a long while she started to speak. "I thought you were my friend, but apparently not, how could you just... gamble with my life like that?" She said giving me a one over.

I grew agitated I lost my temper.
"I need you to understand that this was for your own good, yes I know I shouldn't have done that but I AM trying to save you now, so if you don't mind be nicer to me. Do you think that this is easy for me? Never mind, I'll be back." I said standing up, not meaning to bang the diner table. I left the diner to take a smoke break, but I made sure I still  kept an eye on her. She was starting to test my patience and I was not one to tollarate bad attitude.
