Her Mother Ocean

Her salty waters run
Sweet to Her girls in a motherly way
Not truly human
Still, She wraps Herself around them
Comforting body made of water

She makes them dresses of salt
Different every time
Allowing them to dissolve over time

Water is Her blood and body
Her daughter sirens
Feeding Her with their song
Holding them for a century

Her waters blue
The howling wind is Her voice
Waves are the beat of Her heart
Still is Her breath
And Her stomach deep

Man kind is Her food
Drawn to Her daughter's song
Once a year
They jump in Her waters
Drinking Her in

Comforting body of water
That's her mother Ocean
