"Hey, wake up kiddo"

"Daddy?"

"Shhhhhhh, we need to be very quiet."

"Why are you crying daddy? Where's mommy?"

"It doesn't matter, come here."

"What are we doing in my secret hiding place, daddy?"

"Im gonna need you to hide here for a while, kiddo."

"Are we playing hide and seek?"

"Yes we are! But I don't want you to come out until I say so."

"Why?"

"I need you to promise me, Eri. No matter what you see or hear, you will not get out of this closet. Promise me."

"I promise."

"Liar."

"Huh?"

"You would still get out of this fucking closet, even though I clearly told you not to, wouldn't you? You stubborn little piece of shit."

"I'm s-sorry, I d-d-didn't mean to."

"Ofcourse you didn't, but you did it anyways. And guess what you spoiled brat, we're dead. And you,

you're the one to blame."

I bolted up from my bed, drenched in sweat and gasping for breath. I looked at my phone, 2:09 am. It's odd how the same dream you keep having over and over again can still affect you as hard as it always did -- maybe even worse. I was going to attempt the impossible and try to sleep again when I heard a knock on my door. "Who is it?"

My question was answered by another knock. "Who is it?" This better not be a stupid prank from those stupid potheads. "I said, who is it?" I stomped my way to the door after asking who it was and not having an answer for the third time.

"Zach?" What is he doing in my apartment door at 2 in the morning?

"Hey, Uhm I just... uhh.. I- uhhh- I was--"

"What are you doing here, Zach?" That sounded alot harsher than I have intended.

"I know it's a stupid question but I'm going to ask anyway. Are you okay, Eri?"

"You're right, that is a stupid question." I tried not to roll my eyes. Zach is a good guy, he may have saved my ass a couple of times ever since we met three years ago. The guy got me this apartment actually. He's my only family left but I would die before I let him know that.

"Heh, yeah sorry.. uh... you must still be sleepy, you know, considering it's still just six in the morning.. soooo.. I'm just gonna--" Wait, did he say six? In the morning? I only then realized that it's already bright outside. How the hell did that happen?

"Wait, what did you say the time was?" Zach looked at me like I've finally lost it.

"It's six," he looked at his wristwatch "6:28, to be exact. Why? What's wrong?"

"And you've been knocking at my door for four straight hours?"

"What? I'm confused." He looked so worried.

"I mean, you were here at two a.m., right?"

I've only been here for about six minutes, Eri."

"You mean you weren't here?"

"I was asleep."

"Then who was knocking on my door at 2 am?"
