Hi, hello, how's it going? Long time no see, huh? Heh heh. Well, this is awkward. I've never been one for small talk. Sorry(to Nicole) that I haven't done anything, I honestly forgot all about this story. But here I am now. This story so far has been 3rd person which is actually harder sometimes, so this is first person, but from Henry's point of view.

So yeah. Yeah.

I couldn't help staring at her as she laughed with her friend on the other side of the room. She hadn't spotted me yet so I still had some time to just sit and watch her. Why did she have to be so .... perfect?

I pushed myself up from the table and straightened out my shirt before walking over. She looked up at me and her shiny dark hair bounced back behind her. I couldn't help but smile as a giddy feeling rose in me and fluttered in my stomach. It was so weird that she made me feel this way, and I turned my head sharply to hide my enormous grin.

I slid into the seat next to Nicole and turned to her, crossing my arms and leaning my head against them. "What are you planning on doing for the showcase?" I asked her.

"I was just going to-" her sentence was cut short by Teddy, who barged his way in and pulled up a chair next to Nicole. I scooted closer to her, slightly jealous and trying to claim my territory sitting next to her. "Hey guys! What's going on?" He asked happily. He seemed way too clueless if you ask me, nobody should be that friendly. "We were talking about the showcase." Nicole told him. Why did she have to be friends with him? It shouldn't bother me that much, she still likes me, right? I got so lost in my thoughts, I didn't realize what was happening around me and I snapped my head up to see Nicole giggling at something Teddy had said. I gulped and glared at him, my head still down on the table and my face tilted down. Teddy turned to me. "Are you alright Henry? I hope you're not ill. I was hoping to get together after school to plan our project for the showcase." I snapped my head up and tried to smile. "I'm fine, I'm okay, and sure, that's sounds fine."

"Great!" He grinned and sat back in his chair, facing Nicole. I had to have a serious chat with that boy later.
