"Domanik! Domanik get up! Domanik wake up please!" I yelled trying to get him up. "Hun what's the matter...oh my god Noelle what's wrong?" He shot up and tried to hold me. "Hospital! W-we need to go to the hospital!" He started wiping away my tears and tried to get me to explain. "Poppie." Was the only thing I could say. My grandfather was back in the hospital, and the doctors were saying that he wouldn't last much longer. I ran out the door, and Domanik ran after me. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, hang on, I'm going to drive, you just sit and try to relax a little." I was gasping for breath, the glue in my family was washing away and fear rose inside me, and it was suffocating me. "I can't." I fell to my knees and wept, and he tried helplessly to get me back on my feet, but it felt as though gravity was becoming heavier and the weight of the world was crushing my shoulders. "Noelle, come on....let's go see him before it's too late." I rose shakily to my feet, and blindly got into his truck. When we got to my grandfather's room I saw nurses and doctors ushering everyone out of the room. I saw my mother weeping, trying to pry her way in. "Please, let me in! He's my father! Don't hurt him!" I ran to her and pulled her away from a nurse. "Mom! Mom it's me! It's me Noelle! I'm here! I'm here." She faced me and we cried together, her head on my shoulder. My heart ached, but I knew I had to put on a brave face and try to keep this family together. Domanik walked up and she hugged him. "Thank you for bringing her here, thank you for taking care of her, thank you so much." I could see tears well-up in his eyes, and he looked over at me. "Your daughter has been taking care of me just as much as I have for her." He held me in his arms, and I buried my face in his chest and listened to his heartbeat. It has started to rain when we left, "The angels are mourning with us." He held my hand and I felt warm again. "It's going to be okay." And I believe him.
