It's my last day of public school. My last day to hang out with friends and play at recess. But it's all coming to an end. I have to go to my interview today. I'm only in 2rd grade and I have to make the choice if I want to go or not. I have gotten good grades and I really deserve this. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity And I'm gonna take it.
It's my first day of Milton Hershey elementary school. I rember me being told I was not aloud to see my parents for a month. They said this because they want us to get used to the school.
"Bye Ashton I have to go." Stated my momb
As I sat there coloring my poster that they gave me I said "bye mom." I did not even get up and give her a hug until she mentioned it.
"I love you mommy see you soon??? I asked concerned
"Love you too baby girl see you soon" my mom said with tears in her eyes.
That night I realized why she had tears in her eyes. She was not allowed to see me. It felt like forever but the time flew by pretty quickly. I like my house parents kinda. They weren't the nicest. I ended up being pulled out of all the fun activities because there was always something wrong. There could be 1 wrinkle and they would pull me out and make me make my bed all over again then I would have to write about what I did. I told my mom over and over again. She never listened!!!! Until she came to get me one day and they said I am not allowed to go home!?!?!? You should've seen her she got so mad and I went home anyways.
