"hey where's Claire? " Micheal asked while practicing his guitar.

"I don't know, stop asking me man, I'm not her body guard." I started to panic I knew he was suspicious.

He started to give me suspicious looks like he was trying to understand me, trying to figure out what was wrong with me. "come on man you tell me everything or I will get eve on you and you know she can get out of you"

"there's nothing to tell"i tired to reply trying not to smile, when Clare's face pops up in my head.

"come on Shane you haven't smiled like that since before what happened" He wasn't getting it out of me I don't do that lovey dovey stuff.

"what ever Michael I'm going to bed" I tried to escape telling him.

he wanted a minute until he said "hang on its only 10pm what happened killing zombies like you always do" oh shit yeah I didn't realise how early it was, I just wanted to escape.

"I'm tired alright is that such a crime" with that I rushed up the stairs before he could said anything else.

As I was about to walk into my room Claire stepped out of hers so I thought I would tease her it's the only way I can talk to her without Michael or eve around.

"isn't it past your bedtime Claire? " I couldn't help but notice how bright her eyes shined when she rolled her eyes at me as she headed down stairs. I shook my heas trying to get rid of the thoughts of Claire.

One hour later...

I walked down stairs to see Claire studying on the couch, i still don't understand why she is studying because it is really late and she isn't in collage for another two weeks.

Michael and eve was in kitchen making coffee. I headed to the kitchen. Michael instantly turned to me,

"are you going to tell me now what you where going to tell me before? " I took a deep breath and headed to the fridge.

"no I have nothing to tell you I already said that" I grabbed a beer out the fridge and headed into the living room. As I was leaving I heard eve ask

"What is that all about?" No doubt Michael will tell her.

I saw Shane come down the stairs and my heart skipped a beat so I focused on my textbook. I could see him smile and run his fingers throw his hair god he was hot. Claire stop thinking this he won't go for a short geeky 16 year old.

Next thing I knew was Shane was sat next to me playing his zombie game.

"so what are you doing? " shane asked as he nudges me playfully.

"im studying" I said quietly

Then eve and Michael came out the kitchen and eve smiled then said gently "we are off to bed don't have to much fun" then she winked at me as Michael dragged her up the stairs.

"so wanna watch a film" shane asked while looking into my eyes which made me blush.

After Michael and eve went up stairs it left me and Claire and I couldn't help but she looked so pretty the way she concentrated so hard.

" so wanna watch a film" I asked while looking into her beautiful chocolate brown eyes. god she was beautiful.

I put a scary film on and I knew Claire didn't like scary films but something over powered me and I put it on anyway.

"why did you pick this one" she whispered after jumping for the 7th time.

All I could say was "come here" as I opened my arms at her and she snuggled into my chest.

I looked down at her shielding herself from the film as I started to stroke her long perfect hair. she looked up at me with wide eyes. so I leaned down and kissed her.

She didn't try and pull away or anything I was just so happy she was in my arms until she stopped the kiss and ran upstairs.

Something made me run up those stairs and try and catch up with her but she is too fast and makes it in her room and shuts the door before I get up the stairs.

"Claire can I come in" she didn't answer do I knocked again. Until she finally answered.

"I can't do this shane, not now" she says as she turns away and walks towards the window.

"what's wrong with it? In this town you don't have time to wait we act in the moment." I was worried about what she would say next.

"I'm too young for you, i mean why me I'm a young geeky kid" she said as she broke down in tears again.

I started to walk towards her and wrapped my arms around her and said "you are smart, beautiful, talented and did I mention that you are beautiful"

I waited till she looked at me again, that I noticed she was blushing and with that I gave her one last peck before holding her in my arms.

the next morning I walk down the stairs to find a letter with my name on it.

I have never had feelings for anyone until I met you but I need time to clear my head so I've gone back to my parents for the week and I will text you soon to let you know I am safe

I don't know how to say this but
