chapter 3 the date

Shanes pov

I woke up feeling refreshed and relaxed haven't felt like that in a while. I put a pair of jeans on and jogged down the stairs. No one was up yet so I went into the kitchen to get a coffee and sat at the kitchen table.

"where should I take Claire tonight? I want to impress her, maybe a movie " as these thoughts went though my head I was snapped out my thoughts by Claire walking into the kitchen. she was wearing cute black shorts with a large t shirt that covered up most of her shorts.

"well hello sleeping beauty"i tried to stop myself from smiling but I couldn't do it. I automatically smile around her.

she smirked at me and said "what was put in your coffee this morning? " I winked at her

"nothing just feeling happy and excited for later"

"hmm what's later I totally forgot"she said while trying to tease me.

"I don't know for me I'm just playing video games all night maybe having a few beers like I always do" a small frown appeared on her face while I smiled at her. she went to go in the living room but I grabbed her waist and pulled her into me holding her hips.

she started giggling as I started tickling her till she couldn't breath "stop stop " I stopped and looked into her beautiful chocolate brown eyes.

she jumped off my lap and said "I got to go to classes I will see you later" she winked at me as she left.

several hours later

Claire came back early for our date and I managed to convince eve and Michael to go out tonight so we can have the house to ourselves for a bit.

"Claire are you ready? " I shouted up the stairs.

"yeah hang on be down in a minute" as soon as she said that I started to feel nervous

Then I saw a girl wait no woman at the top of the stairs in a summer dress that she look gorgeous in.

Claires pov

I saw Shane at the bottom of the stairs he hadn't noticed me yet. He had a white shirt with black patterns on with black jeans god h looked sexy. He had straightened his hair.

I still didn't understand why he likes me he's a perfect handsome guy and I'm a just a small geeky girl.

He took me to the the cinema and he refused to let me pay for anything no matter how much I asked.

"Come on Shane it's only the movies I can pay for myself, it's not a big deal."

"No, I invited you so I'm gonna pay" with the he grabbed my hand and started to lead us towards the counter.

The guy behind the counter was looking me up and down and he wasn't trying to cover it up, no matter how much I hid behind Shane I could still feel his glaze on me. Maybe I should have wore something that covered me up a bit more. Shane wasn't happy with this, by the way he was glaring at the guy.

"Do you mind not staring at my girlfriend"

Instantly the guy jumped and looked away not making eye contact as he finished up giving us our tickets and popcorn.

We then started to walk back to the house luckily it wasn't sunset yet so we were safe for another hour. He was swinging our arm back and forth with a ghost smile on him face.

"What's wrong?" He look he was in a day dream till I ask him this.

"I can't remember the last time I felt so content with my life for once" with that he gave me a big grin and dragged me down the path towards the glass house.

Once we arrived at the house he turned to me and pulled out a black piece of fabric.

"What is that?"

"This my dear Claire is a blindfold and I need you to put it on" instead of questioning him further I let him cover my eyes and slowly guide me into the house.

He slowly pealed of the blindfold and stood there with a sheepish smile as I looked around the room. I noticed flower petals scattered around the room, the dinning room table was also covered with petals but neatly placed in the middle was Chinese tubs with chopsticks placed next to the plates.

"It was either that or chilli and I think you have had enough chilli." He pulled my chair out for me and pushed it back in after I sat down.

The night passed by quickly, too quickly for my liking, we laughed, joked around, teaching Shane how to use chopsticks with went horrible wrong but I didn't mind. We were in our own little bubble and no one could ruin this moment.

We then retired to the couch where Shane tried to teach me how to play him zombie game and we eventually fell asleep with my head on him chest perfectly content.

I woke up half way through the night and was watching Shane sleeping. He must have taken his shirt off in the night so he is more comfortable. His bed head look that he managed to rock so well.

All of a sudden I fell off the couch and squealed as I hit the floor. Shane shook awake Aswell and nearly fell on top of me, he was hovering over me leaning closer. Thought he was doing to kiss me when he suddenly said,

"I think it's time you go to bed"he started to help me up.

"Sure" feeling lightheaded with how close he was to me.

Once we got upstairs shane placed a small kiss on my forehead and we separated ways. I went to my room and slowly shut the door having one last look back at Shane only to see he was watching me Aswell. With that I gave him one last wave and shut my door.

I got up and got changed into a long baggy tee shirt and as I was about to get in bed their was a knock at the door

"it's open" I shouted as I climbed into bed.

"hey I thought you might want some company, help scare away the monsters under your bed." He pulled a puppy dog face so I moved to one side of the bed and tapped it. as a sign on saying yes. He wrapped his strong arms around my waist and pulled me closer to him with my head on his chest. we both fell into a sweet dream.
